We often get asked of the difference between quartz, and granite. So we will take this space to educate, and hopefully save you some time in your decision process. Granite, being a natural stone, is porous. Being so, requires periodic sealing to alleviate moisture intake and possible staining. Particularly with the lighter colors.
During these uncertain times it's difficult to tell value from a cheap price. That is why we at Appalachian Tops strive to bring you the very best in quality granite and quartz. Below we have prepared some charts. The first details the true difference between their cheap price vs. what you receive with our value added products, and what the true cost difference really is.
Granite, is priced in tiers, by the particular color. All quartz manufacturers do this as well. All except one. That one exception would be Cambria. No matter the color, the price shall remain the same for you. Which in turn, makes your shopping experience a much simpler one. In addition to their superior pricing structure, the color selection is far wider than any of their competitors as well.

Lee and Dell are great. This is the second time that I have used them. The first time was four years ago after a house fire, so kitchen bathroom counters, cabinets had to be replaced. Needless to say, it was a very stressful time for us and they were patient, expedient and did excellent work. Dell even saved me at the last minute from making a color mistake . I wasn't thrilled with what I had chosen, but was in a hurry to get back in the house. When he came in to measure, he happened to bring in a sample that was really what I wanted all along, I just didn't know it! Made a last minute switch,

Dell and Lee of Appalachian Tops were top notch from explaining the options for my countertops, which type stone and finish, to precisely measuring for the countertops and the installation. Counters included the kitchen, a kitchen island and a bathroom vanity. Also installed a new under counter double sink as well as a new bathroom sink. I couldn't be happier with the end result. There are few words to say how happy I am with Dell and Lee from Appalachian Tops. They were polite, prompt and truly cared about the quality of my new Granite countertops. When measuring the old space, Dell was knowledgeable and listened to every little thing I asked for in reshaping my new top to fit my needs. There was a problem when shipping one of my granite pieces and they had it re-cut Asap and brought the entire shipment of tops to me right away, with no stress on my part. This week we had installation of our new countertops ...Cambria in the kitchen and granite in our master bathroom. We truly cannot believe how unbelievable our counters have turned out! The measurements were perfect and the installation was far beyond our expectation! The attention to detail was truly exceptional!
