Brian Mickelson is the owner and operator of Minnesota Tree Surgeons LLC. An ISA Certified Arborist, Brian has 20 years of tree care experience. He got his start trimming park trails and producing firewood for Three Rivers Park District and has a background in rock climbing. Rob Allanson got his start in the tree service industry with Minnesota Tree Surgeons.
Minnesota Tree Surgeons LLC is owned and operated by Brian N. Mickelson. Brian, an ISA Certified Arborist, MN-4166A and has over twenty years of tree care experience. He got his start trimming park trails and producing firewood for Three Rivers Park District. With his rock climbing background, he took the chance of opening his own tree service in 2000 and Minnesota Tree Surgeons was created.

I have had Tree Surgeons and Brian and John's teams do work at our place a few times over the last several years. Both times they have done outstanding work. They provide great service and its obvious they care about trees, they will advise honestly about tree health and help make a plan (rather than some tree companies that will just cut anything to charge you). Highly recommend this team.

Highly recommend. Brian was very easy to work with. He quickly responded to my online pricing inquiry and came out within a day to provide an estimate, and explained the costs. I had two trees growing between mine and my neighbor's garage as well as some trees alongside the garage that they removed and hauled away, at a cost that was cheaper than competition without sacrificing any professionalism or promptness. This morning the team showed up on time (early actually), and the final cost was exactly what was quoted. Thanks!

I got quotes from four others before I chose Minnesota Tree Surgeons. Best price in the area. Very responsive to questions and special requests. I could tell worker safety was a priority for them and they were also careful not to damage the lawn. However, this didn't seem to slow them down too much, as they were in and out in no time. They also do a great job with cleanup. 10/10 would recommend.

Brian and the team did an excellent job at my house. They removed 10 trees including grinding the stumps and cleaned everything up in a quick 3 hours. They gave a great price and were easy to work with. They even provided entertainment to my 3 boys as they watched the team climbing and setting up various pulley systems to remove trees in tight places. I would highly recommend Minnesota tree surgeons.

Sara and I bought this new home. The inside and the house are perfect and sturdy but the lawn is really a mess. So we tried contacting Minnesota Tree Surgeons for a service. They came equipped and finished the job quickly. They were skilled and very knowledgeable. It’s good to have them here in town..

Brian was great and easy to work with. His quote was the best. He was knowledgeable and accommodating. His team was professional and excellent. They removed a difficult tree in my backyard in a short period of time and didn't leave a trace. I would definitely consult Minnesota Tree Surgeons for any future tree work.

Brian was great to work with. I had a neighbor's tree that was all over my roof and he did a nice job explaining to my neighbor what he was going to do to the tree so that my neighbor was happy with the result also. Also did a great job with a giant maple that needed to be trimmed. Lastly, I had a huge stump ground up and I was happy with that job as well. I'll definitely call Minnesota Tree Surgeons next time I need help!

Brian and his team were fantastic. The estimate Brian gave me was significantly lower than the other I received and he was upbeat and happy to answer all my questions. The day of the removal they arrived on time and were very friendly & efficient. At the last minute I wanted to add one more tree to the removal list and they were able to accommodate for a very reasonable price. I will definitely use these guys again!

We had a big job to remove 5 very large trees. Brian and the crew did a great job. They brought the equipment and the manpower to make quick work of it. Clean-up was great. Everything went smooth. I have used several companies in the past, but Tree Surgeons are the best and the price was fair. I will definitely use them again.

Brian and team did a great job removing several trees from our backyard and trimmed up a few others as well. From the time of the initial consult to the day of removal, Brian was very up front and responsive. There were no surprises in terms of costs and expectations were clearly set. They also did a great job with clean up. Highly recommend to others.

Great company to work with. I needed serveral trees at a sorority in Minneapolis trimmed and Minnesota Tree Surgeons went out right away and got me a bid, the work was done immediately and a lot cheaper than the other three bids I had received. I also got a follow up call a few months ago reminding me of the other work that we could do in the spring (previous work was done in the fall).

Great professional work for 25% less than our local "big name" tree company. Previous owner of our home had planted a sugar maple on the south side of our house in S. Minneapolis with only 16 feet separating our home from our neighbors.
