Services
Old New England Restoration Inc. is a general contracting business providing historical renovation, restoration and preservation services in Massachusetts since 1999. Bill Hardiman, President, is a veteran builder of more than thirty years, as of 2020. It is his continued mission to keep alive the best of New England's historical dwellings and the integrity of fore-builders.
Old New England Restoration, Inc. goes to great lengths to assist owners of older properties throughout Massachusetts to fulfill their visions when planning each project. Careful consideration is given to the period from which the property was built, present day desires and functionality, as well as possible future use and maintenance.
Kitchen renovation and restoration are the most highly variable areas of any home project. Kitchens are frequently the room that homeowners most enjoy updating. They are often the heart and soul of a home- a place of comfort- a place that is witness to the uniqueness with which each person/couple/family unit leads their lives.
We are a family owned and operated company specializing in period-correct historical restoration on houses from mid-17th century through the 20th century, primarily throughout Massachusetts. In addition to historical restoration, we also have a full cabinet shop where we do custom built-in cabinets as well as custom moldings and trim.

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
Bill and his crew were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Throughout the project, I felt confident the work was being done right. Cheri was very responsive to my questions and needs from the office standpoint. Owning an old home can be a lot a of work; I will definitely be using them again if/when anything else comes up.

Old New England Restoration, Inc. in Hopedale, MA recently performed a historical restoration of our family's 1700's New England home. They are positively expert! They were able to replicate all of the millwork in the home, bringing it back to it's original charm. They put in a kitchen, that is much more in keeping with the character of the home, and also provided more up to date features that were important to us. It is now the favorite room in the house! They were professional and personable. We appreciated their thoughtful, written Covid-19 policy, which made us feel safe all the while. We would

We bought our antique cape knowing it would need work. The fact that it still stands is a testament not only to the builders, but the families that have maintained it for the past 250ish years. We wanted to continue that legacy with a trustworthy and knowledgeable craftsman and we were lucky to find Old New England Restoration.
We have a lengthy to do list, which is overwhelming. Bill encouraged us to think long term and helped us schedule projects in a more sustainable way.
Bill and his crew have built two exterior doors for us so far. We plan to work with them to replace our first floor windows

My wife and I recently hired Old New England Restoration for our kitchen renovation. It was a great experience from start to finish. Bill who is the lead contractor, was easy to work with. He came out to our home to plan out the work. We had a lot of questions about add-ons and the pros and cons of various parts of the job. He was very candid, honest, and patient with us. He spent a great deal of time in just the preparation of our job alone. I would have thought to hire someone who puts this much time and effort into their work would have cost an absolute fortune but his prices were actually more
