HIGHLY recommended. Essex was the ONLY fence company I could find willing and able to custom-build the fence my wife and I wanted. George, my sales rep, was obviously experienced and knowledgable in the business and was careful to advocate with his craftsman for not only what we asked for, but for what he knew would be the best way to build and install our fence. Plus the installer crew was equally excellent; they CARED about the quality of their work and wanted it to look good. They were responsive to every request (I'm very picky). Essex Fence just finished installing our fence this past weekend. It was a top notch experience even with the supply chain issues that still exist across the industry.
Bill kept us informed throughout the entire process. He even dealt well with my change suggestion several weeks into the project and was able to implement it with out disruption to the plan.

I have been working with Bill at Essex Fence for three years, that is how long it took me to save for 123 ft of cedar fence for the back yard and 70 feet of aluminum fence with a drive way gate in the front. Due to the pandemic the wait was a bit longer. Bill was patient with me, I only asked about 1000 questions. He came out 4 times in three years and worked with me consistently to get down the design of the fences, which by the way, I changed twice. He walked me through the permit process and never loss his patience. He sent an excellent crew, who were professional and meticulous. Even the neighbors

I have been waiting since June 2020 for an install of a fence. They installed a partial, then we extended that to be entire yard. I paid 50% deposit in June 2020, Essex keeps telling me they will call back and never do. They called in May and said it would be scheduled and never call back. I had to renew the town permit. terrible response, will never use them again

Called and emailed with a sales rep named George for multiple days, eventually we settled on a day to have them come out and quote the job. Never showed up. When I reached back out, never got a response. I understand you’re busy, but have the courtesy to say you can’t take any more jobs. Don’t commit to a day if you can’t make it. I’m more annoyed than anything else. Just send an email saying you can’t make it. Ghosting people is bad business.

We requested an estimate from Essex Fence originally to put up a fence that would keep our dog in the yard. It was an extensive job, and as we live on top of a mountain (literally), there is a large amount of rock.
We were astonished and ecstatic by the quality of work that was performed. What was promised was exactly what was performed, and the estimate was spot on.

From the day Bill came out to do our estimate, everything went perfectly. Rolando, Alberto and Frank worked diligently every single day. In August 2017, I visited the Essex Fence Company showroom to explore my options of installing a vinyl privacy fence on my property. I had quite a few questions. My sales associate Bill was wonderful. I explained some of the unique challenges my property might pose with the installation. One of which was the mature trees that bordered my property and that of my neighbor. I explained to Bill that I am a "tree hugger" and was determined to do what I could to preserve the trees. Can't really say anything about our experience with Essex because it never even got that far. Obviously, the reviews I'm reading about them being too busy is true. I called three days ago after strong winds blew down one side of our fence. I explained that depending on cost, we would either repair the fence that was down or replace it completely. I worked with Bill and he was wonderful. I had originally called for an estimate for a whole new fence and then my husband and I thought we could just do a repair instead. Bill had to come back out to give us a new estimate and he made sure he came out within a day. Of all the times I called with many, many questions he was always helpful and willing to help me. Our fence was done within the original quoted time frame and it is beautiful! The two workers who came out for our install were courteous and worked really quickly - completing the job in just a day. I had a someone come out to give me an estimate on or around May 19, 2014. As I am eager to have the job done I agreed to the high estimate and gave a $400 deposit, which was promptly cashed. I was told it would take a day and the team should be by and done within three weeks. I explained I was having a party, a month after the estimate was given, and I would really appreciate of it could be done before then. They said sure thing it will be done in plenty on time. It's now 44 days later, party came and went, and every time I put in a call to the company to ask when they will be by I am given
