Blue Fox Carpentry offers home improvement services to Christiansburg, Blacksburg and Radford. We serve our clients by filling the gap from where your plumber or electrician stop and a full service design build contractor begins. Our core services are bath remodeling, finish carpentry and cabinetry, backsplash tile, and handyman services.
I started in home improvement as the son of intrepid DIY'ers that spent most three-day weekends building decks, painting, or landscaping. At fifteen I found my first paying gig as a summer laborer on a nearby framing crew. Since then, I have always worked in building in some form.
My experience includes a civil engineering degree from Virginia Tech and license as a professional engineer, design and project management on municipal water and sewer systems, construction of a modest project in Sudan using compressed earth blocks, and multiple light frame building and remodeling projects.

Services
At the age of 15, I, Kevin Massie, began my first job as a laborer on a framing carpentry crew. Since then, I have always enjoyed building, working outdoors and engaged with my hands. I followed that interest to Virginia Tech, where I completed a degree in civil engineering in 2003. I worked for four years as a consulting engineer, but I often thought about returning to construction in some form.

Kevin remodeled the kitchen and bathrooms of a condo in Blacksburg. He did a fantastic job! He is easy to work with and responsive when you have questions or ask for changes. His crew is super friendly too. Even with the challenges of acquiring materials during Covid, the remodel went smoothly. The work looks great - we are super pleased and highly recommend him.

I worked with Blue Fox Carpentry to remodel my kitchen. Kevin was very professional, easy to work with, and super responsive. We ran into a few challenges and every time he worked out a solution. He was very detailed oriented and followed-up to ensure a perfect finish. BFC is absolutely on the top of my list to work with for future renovation projects.
