I hired Gem Fencing to fix/adjust some damaged sections of my existing vinyl fence. The existing fence was not installed by Gem Fencing. They provided me a good price and an expected date for the project to start. Because of excessive rain days, my project start date was delayed about 6 weeks. The crew that came the first time left all areas of my fence that were worked on in a less than desirable condition. My gates were uneven with gaps and holes left open in the posts. I called to report the issues and sent in pictures of the work done as requested. A couple weeks later, a new crew came out

An employee of Gem had an accident and I had to file an insurance claim. The employee gave false insurance information to the police. I contacted the owner and received different insurance information. This led to USAA taking them to court. After being sued GEM admitted to not carrying insurance. They are now blacklisted and cannot be insured. Please, save yourself money and a headache and find a insurable company.

My experience with Gem was top notch! Shawn is awesome to work with.. I had to wait several months for my land to be surveyed, and Shawn came out a couple times to measure..each time he was precise, professional, and gave me great advice on where to put my fence, gates, etc. The whole team did an amazing job and the fence is beautiful! The office staff was responsive and incredibly accommodating with scheduling and working with me as I waited for my land survey. I would recommend Gem to anyone, especially those hesitant about pulling the trigger on such an investment..they made it seamless and

EDIT EDIT*** well a month as passed and once again I was promised someone would be by to take a look and get things resolved. Big surprise I'm just still getting taken for a ride. I would not at all recommend gem fencing for your fencing needs. This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a "professional" company.

Had I not been paying attention they would have installed them that way and I most likely would have been stuck with our gates swinging the way we didn't want. When I brought it up he got defensive with me even though I very much expressed in our qoute which way we wanted gates to open. He did install gate the right way but used whatever hardware he had in the truck so Instead on the nicer black hardware I was promised we ended up with galvanized

We just had our new fence installed yesterday and it's perfect. The installer Dan and his guys were so professional and helped design the curve in our fence to flow with the shape of our yard, we wouldn't have even thought to. Gem Fencing did an exceptional job installing our driveway fence. They removed the existing rusted chain link fence and installed the vinyl replacement quickly and without any hassle.
Having used another fencing company previously for the fence around our backyard, there were some things that made working with Gem a better experience:
1. Their quote was lower than competitors, didn't require haggling, and not inflated by my zip code. (Not like I live in a wealthy neighborhood, but I've noticed that many contractors increase their price after I give a Riverside address).
2. Scheduling was quick

We had a large tree removed from our backyard and had to have our old fence taken down in order to accommodate this. We wanted to replace the fence and got quotes from a few different companies. It wasn't a huge job and I think a lot of companies weren't interested, but GEM Fencing took it on. Their quote was the most reasonable, they quickly scheduled the work, and also helped us to design a special gate as well. The price and quality of the workmanship was excellent and we highly recommend GEM Fencing.

WOW! We could not be happier with our fence! John was excellent to deal with and Shawn and his crew were absolutely the definition of professional and truly masters of their craft of installing. My neighbors are still talking about how perfectly straight and level everything is. They finished the entire job in 3 days and left everything perfect.....not a piece of debris to be found. As a Realtor I get asked for referrals all the time......Gem Fence just became my go to fence installer!

Last spring Gem installed a cedar fence on my property and it looks amazing! They were quick, professional, and honestly advised me about my options and various prices. They patiently worked with me and my neighbor on last minute dimensional changes which was a huge help for me. This spring, one of the gates was a little tight due to a post moving due to all the rain and frost from the off-season. Shaun came over and fixed it in twenty minutes, no hassle or fuss. These guys are true professionals and I'd hire them again if I ever need another fence.
