I did not actually get to use Mike at Ability Plumbing for our plumbing job, but he still helped us. I was on my 3rd plumber and was so nervous about the guy that was coming (cause he sounded inexperienced over the phone) that I called Ability as another backup on my neighbor's recommendation. Mike came out to service my water heater.

I would give them 10 stars if I could. MIKE of ABILITY PLUMBING is the best. He owns the business and is very conscientious, professional, nice, and has saved the day for my home twice in the last month. The first time was when there was a gas leak under the house and also at the SDG&E meter, and this morning when my water heater was leaking from the pipes at the top of the unit. Thank God the water heater itself wasn't leaking!!
But there was quite a bit of water that kept leaking out of the hoses and Mike responded very quickly both times and took care of everything. Very reasonable

We had the unfortunate experience of having an underground pipe in our front yard spring a leak. After interviewing over 7 plumbers, we finally settled on Ability Plumbing for one specific reason--the integrity of the employees of this company. Mike and Long were not your typical 'salesman' who wanted to fix everything 'under the sun' even if unnecessary. They actually tried to save us money to get the job done and when it seemed like the 'quick and dirty' would not work, they suggested an alternative which still was more competitive than what others had quoted

Seven months before we purchased our house, Ability Plumbing installed a Noritz brand tankless water heater, paid for by the previous owner. As we are new to this technology, we called them, and they sent someone out to fully check its functioning, and to explain to us what to expect from such a heater. We had been having trouble with the water pressure in our shower, and changes in temperature. We had a water heater blow up on a Friday just before closing time. We called Ability and they tried to come out that day, but could not. They scheduled an appointment to come on Monday. They were prompt (pulled in 2 minutes behind me), got right to the issue and were finished before I even knew it. Back in business before the hot water was needed!

I had a plumbing backup issue in my rental property on a Friday afternoon. Mike came out and evaluated the situation and tried to fix it. The best solution was to put a new cleanout at the end of my property line so that the problem would be finished for good. My husband dug out the main sewer line and Mike came by to check on him as he was working on a Saturday. He then installed a two-way clean-out for us in no time at all . These are professionals. I had a slow drain in my shower and they were very accommodating to come over at a time that was convenient for me. They came over, diagnosed the problem, and within fifteen minutes my drain was running good as new. They even took a look at another issue for me and gave me some advice! Mike and his crew do very clean and professional work for very reasonable prices. You can't go wrong with Ability Plumbing. They have helped us install a kitchen sink and installed a new water heater for us, and we could not be happier with the service provided. Definitely give them a call before looking into the larger companies, it will save you time and money for professional work. Mike also took the time to explain what he was doing and educated us on our systems and proper maintenance procedures, which I'm sure will save us headache and money down the road.

Our waterless water heater was leaking. At a friend's suggestion, I called Ability Plumbing. Mike answered the phone, listened to our problem, and gave us a time window for the same day. He called to let us know when he was on his way. He assessed the problem and suggested a temporary fix until he could get the right part the next day. His temporary fix uncovered a far worse problem. Our pressure regulator was broken. He made a trip to his plumbing supplier and was soon back to fix the problem. He was knowledgeable, fixed the problem for a reasonable price, and answered some other questions
