Just recently, we had a wooden fence installed by Peerless Fence - West Chicago. It replaced a 17 year old wooden fence that was falling apart.
Peerless Fence gave us a very competitive price, a realistic time line, and an overall feeling of professionalism.
The crew that did the installation for us ( Alex, Alejandro, and Jose ) were amazing!! They explained the day’s events to us and then had at it. They had the old fence removed fast and cleanly with minimal disruption to our yard and the surrounding yards. Then, away they went on the new fence install. They were like a well oiled machine

We had our fence installed by Tru-Link which is now Peerless.
It was a large fence job in the City. The price came is the same as the other quotes so we decided to go with a long time company. Soon after install we started having problems. It turned out our fence posts we only in 6-8 inches of concrete not the contracted 36 inches. our fence started to fail after the first year. I had multiple people come out from Tru-link/Peerless and always got the run around. This year, I e-mailed and a wonderful man Eric who is a supervisor came out a few days later and looked over the posts we were having

With materials being hard to come by, Peerless was the only company to immediately respond to my initial inquiry and provided an estimate that came very close to what I had in mind. I had some very specific requests and all were addressed. I had a very limited choice in materials (again, because of the shortage) and they were up-front about that. I made the choice to use a “company” as opposed to a local handyman because I am so bloody picky and really needed to know that if anything wasn’t perfect, I would get resolution. I wish there was a zero star for this company so rude... don't call these people, the reception just hung up on me, if we didn't install your fence then we can't service your fence because we are so busy right now. Bad customer service. So non apologetic. Covid has destroyed peoples integrity and kindness.

I am so pissed!! The salesman was wonderful at first, but the process of scheduling was never explained and it's becoming a nightmare. I was referred to Peerless by my sister. She's still in the process of getting her fence installed, however, we took a risk and signed up right away. It's been over a month and no updates. I reached out to our once wonderful salesman and his exact words were it's out of my hands, here's the number, call operations. Got an estimate by some guy who talked and talked about his coworkers but was too busy to ever give me the actual estimate. Two weeks later I got the estimate and paid. Now it's been over a month since then and you can't even contact these people they are rude, unorganized, and uncontactable. Don't use them!!!!

Peerless Fence was referred to me by their supplier, Schilling's Lumber company. This is where they get the lumber for all their jobs. So as this Schilling's company works daily with Peerless Fence as their client and of all the names they could have given to me . This is the client Schilling's Lumber recommended . Went through Home Depot to install a new fence for our home, and was connected to Peerless. After getting a few quotes, we decided to go with Peerless because of the great experience we had with our estimate guy. That was last great experience we had. We paid IN FULL for our project in Sept of 2018. It is now August 2019, and we still have unanswered questions. We were told our project would be complete in a few weeks, but it lasted months instead.

I called and even sent a picture of the gate door that needed fixing (only the hinges needed to be fixed and placed back on the post). I didn't hear from the company so I wrote back, and received a message that there was a quote for "replacing" my gate door. There's nothing wrong with my gate door and they gave me a high cost. When I wrote back to tell them that it was the hinges and not the door that needed fixing, I never heard back from them.

Fence installation taking a week now due to incompetent crew that can't measure depth of post holes. After the third inspection there were still 10 post holes that failed inspection. They keep telling me that I don't need to stay home while they do their work, yet when I do go to work, I get a call from their crew saying that they need me to open the garage so that they can access a power outlet. I called Tru link fence and asked to have someone come out to give me an estimate. A man named Bob came out and he said he would get back to me within the next day or two. I waited a week and finally I called and spoke to a woman in the office. She apologized that he had not gotten back to me and said that I would be able to get a 10% discount and that he would send me an estimate.

When I didn't hear from him again, I called John, his manager. John said that Bob would be getting an estimate to me by that evening. That was about two weeks ago. I've had the fence put up by another company

I had used TruLink for a gate at my old house and there were TruLink signs (from the 12+ year old fence) at our new house. When we started looking into a replacement fence, I was surprised to see a low Yelp rating, but decided to give them a chance given my previous positive experience. We received three quotes and they were the lowest. Then, they installed on a Saturday three weeks ahead of schedule. The crew was pleasant and efficient. So, if there were some issues, they seem to have worked through them. Would definitely recommend based on this experience.

We had a terrible and I mean terrible experience with a former "fence guy". He left our fence in a shambles, with posts falling off and nails falling out and gates that didn't close. It was just dreadful.

I called Tru-Link because they have a solid reputation in the Chicagoland area. I did have to get a survey done and a permit which was a headache, but once they installed the fence I could not have been happier. It is absolutely beautiful and such an improvement from our old crappy fence that I swear, I almost cried when I saw it. Thank you Tru-Link!

Please ask for a salesperson

We had been looking to replace our fence for a few years, and noticed what appeared to be a good fence in our neighborhood with a Tru-Link sticker and phone number. We were pleased with the work, and wanted the same type of fence for our yard. We called, set an appointment, and had a representative come to take measurements and give us a quote on the job. Without any negotiation, we accepted this quote as we believed they would do a good job. Everything seemed good to go, until the Tru-Link employees (or likely contractors) came to put up the fence. For one, only two people came to do the job,

They come recommended by neighbor , I call last Friday, to busy, call again on Wednesday get the hold of the secretary who says they will call in an hour or so- no one call . I ques they are to busy or have to much business. How can you go in to business with someone like that if they cannot even call you back.

Salesman was nice; quote was fairly high. I got several, however, and gave them the chance to meet the middle bid, which they did. My one condition was that works needed to kick off and wrap up this month. After making some calls, the salesman got me a new contract that met my needs, awesome. Then I get a welcome letter, with a start date of next month. Yikes.

Communication between sales and operations and me could have been smoother (i never got a call back from the office) but I crossed my fingers and the yes! the installers did arrive on time the day I was promised. The fence itself is

I wish I read these reviews before going with this company. I also had an awful experience with Tru-Link (which recently relocated from Skokie to Melrose Park). The installation was two weeks after the estimated installation window, which would have been okay if they had ever contacted me to let me know. Instead, I called three time to ask for an update and reiterate that I needed at least one day's warning to take time off work to be there for the installation. None of the people I called had any idea what was going on.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience from Tru-Link. We shopped around a lot and they were not the cheapest bid we received for our backyard vinyl fence, but I was most comfortable with their salesman Todd.

The job was completed on time and they did a GREAT job cleaning up the yard afterward. I have heard many stories of fence companies leaving piles of dirt behind for you to remove or spread around your yard yourself, not ideal. Tru-link took care of all of that.

They installed 150 linear feet of vinyl fencing for us in around 6 hours. Would highly recommend.
