I wanted to share my before and after photo's of the cement deck at my home in Blue Ridge, GA. Couldn't find a pressure washer service to do the work, so I decided to do the work myself. Unbelievable transformation from heavy red clay stains to clean cement surface! Very excited about the results. I borrowed a 2600 PSI power washer from a neighbor and used the yellow spray head.
Although we recommend using a power washer, the red clay came out just using a garden hose in this picture. Efflorescence occurs as a result of the salts pushing to the surface of the masonry as shown in this photo. Once the salts are removed, apply Trojan Masonry Sealer to keep the efflorescence from returning.
Yes, Trojan can be used on most porous surfaces including limestone, concrete, brick, and stucco. Fertilizer stains are very tough to get out of concrete because fertilizer has other ingredients other than iron such as micronutrients and herbicides. A combination of using our Rust Stain Remover, followed by our Nu Look will greatly reduce the stained surface.
