From start to finish, Carefree was professional and knowledgeable about which furnace would be the best replacement for our home. Our old furnace gave out with no warning, which left our house cold and uncomfortable. After a call to Carefree, they promptly came to our home to assess our needs, sent over a reasonable proposal within 12 hours and installed our new furnace with the utmost professionalism. We will recommend Carefree to all of our homeowner friends here on the north shore, and will not hesitate to call them in the future with any HVAC needs. I highly recommend Carefree!

Just used Carefree to replace a furnace and AC unit. Dave's service and responsiveness was outstanding. The on-site team was prompt, worked hard and was extremely respectful of the house. Used a competitor for over a decade and should have switched to Carefree years ago.

Carefree Comfort did an excellent job installing our new furnace, new a/c unit, and installing customized new duct work. They were on time, worked very effectively and efficiently, were very polite, and answered all our questions. They went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything was installed, tested and properly working. I would highly recommend them to any customer with HVAC needs.

I started to use Carefree in autumn of 2020 since the previous company I worked with had started to suggest cost improvements during every service visit.
Now, this service call was identifying issues with my furnace - and since it was still under warranty they helped me find a deal to replace it with the newest model. (but again, they did not want to talk me into additional air filters etc like the others tried).
I liked Carefree's professionalism during the service, then when consulting what the best way would be and also the installation of the new furnace went flawlessly!

Worst service I have ever had. I had tech guys come out on three difference occasions to give recommendations on how to fix the lack of heat in my kitchen. Every time they said they would get back to me with a plan and they never did. Then Dave, one of the managers, came out a few weeks ago after I complained about the lack of service. Dave told me exactly what they would do and he would send a number of guys to work on my duct work later that week. We've been using Carefree for years - exceptionally professional - always! We have used them for furnace repair, installation and general service for over 15 years.
After our last service call, a drain got clogged which caused water to overflow a drain and cause some damage to a wall. Carefree came out immediately, blew out the drains to ensure proper flow. They inspected the minor damage and without hesitation brought in a painter to fix the damage. Stuff sometime happens - it's how you deal with it that counts. Carefree passes with flying colors!

Our air conditioning unit wasn't working properly. Dave Sciarrone, from Carefree Comfort, sent his service and repair men out very quickly. The guys were so very nice, very respectful of my home and knowledgeable. They explained the problem to me, had the replacement part ordered and came back the next day to finish the repair. Call Carefree Comfort for an all around great experience. I will always call them for all my heating and air conditioning needs.

I happily write a review for Carefree Comfort. It's -14 out and for the first time in days my furnace shut off because my place reached the 68 degrees I am used to feeling. I called them a couple weeks ago when I thought I had a problem. It's actually a funny story. We talked it through, we decided they didn't need to come out, I could simply change the furnace filter. Duh! it worked my place warmed up pretty well. Today, after the motor running on it for a couple days, i smelled a burring odor. I so appreciated that these people who I'd never used before, had solved my earlier

We moved to Highland Park from California in the summer of 2011. The home we bought has two zones and includes two gas furnaces and two central A/C. units. The previous owners were loyal customers of Carefree Comfort and recommended them highly.
We have been very happy. Sergio has been our technician the past two falls to tune things up for the winter. He also has come out and serviced/recharged our A/C units. He is always patient, very knowledgable, takes time to explain everything and most importantly, gives honest advice and guidance.

Best of the best! Really a top notch professional company. Noticed my water heater went out at midnight after coming in late. Had a new water heater installed by next afternoon. Would have given 5 stars if they could have installed a tankless water heater but not in their skill set I guess.

Our 26 year old HVAC system needed to be replaced. We received 3 quotes. Carefree came in not only the lowest but took the time to explain all our options to us and tell us why we did not need the high end for all the items. They scheduled the work within 2 days of contract signature. They told us it would be a 1-2 day job. They arrived promptly at 7:30 am and got to work. By 5 pm they said there was just a little bit left to go so rather than come back the next day, they stayed till 7pm and finished the job and got our unit up and running. By 9pm our house temp was back down to 75 degrees

We were referred to Joe Sciarrone by our real estate attorney. Interacted with the owners and their crew. Bought a furnace, A/C and accessories. They were GREAT at educating and advising us as we navigated this expensive purchase to suit our needs and wants. Also handled all the rebate paperwork for us.
