Opening its doors 30 years ago, Fenix Heating and Cooling has grown from a three-man startup operation to one of the most prominent HVAC companies in the Wichita area. Robert Freeman, Jerry Newby, and Bob Prigmore officially opened Fenix Heating and Cooling in 1988 in Wichita at 1970 West St. Fenix became a Lennox dealer, dropping York and Amana, the two other brands it had historically carried. This move has allowed the Fenix team to gain decades of experience and heating and cooling training specific to Lennox systems, while still offering expert service and repair on all brands of HVAC products.

Fenix installed our new Heating & AC system recently. They changed from a 2 system heat pump to a 1 system with zoning. It works beyond our expectations!! Luke & his crew of installers were amazing. They were quick and precise in dealing with a complicated system, which had included a "century" fireplace for added heat to the whole house. We could not be more happy with the experience start to finish. The electric usage in our home is down!! On a scale of 1 to 10, I give Fenix a 15! Thank you for your hard work and excellent service! We bought 2 new HVAC systems last spring to replace the 20-year old house originals. Everyone from sales to mechanics were friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions along the way. Fenix quoted us a system that met our needs with premium equipment that actually beat out the others on price. We’ve been very happy with the new system and will definitely be sticking with Fenix for our future needs.

The installers Chris and Dalton were amazing! They were able to totally replace our 14 year old system in one day and it works beautifully. Even the inspector was impressed with their work. The attention to detail was impressive. Being a contractor for 44 years, I was appreciative of Cory to help us select the right system for our needs, and it was the middle priced one. No high pressure sales and great communication.

I placed a call to Fenix at 730pm on a Saturday night because my air condition was not blowing cold air. Eric the technician called back within 10 minutes and was at my house in 20 minutes. Air conditioner needed a new compressor. it was installed and air is working great. Eric was very professional, listened to my questions and answered some concerns I had.
I have used them as my only repair company for years. I recommended the highly, thus the 5 star rating. I give Eric a 5 star rating also!

Cory was great to work with, he was able to get everything squared away the way I wanted and provided me all the details. While they did replace my old working unit with much more efficient system for the entire house it has already improved the cooling and heating across the board. I am greatly excited to see what my new energy costs will be for this system. They are awesome to work with and I am very happy with the new system.

Very rude Receptionist. Showed zero ability to reschedule appointment within a week of prior schedule. She wanted me to book out another month from prior appointment. No flexibility and no willingness to work with the customer. For a yearly Fee I pay a year at a time to check air conditioner and furnace. I've shown my loyalty to this firm for many years ....she didn't seem to care.

I called Fenix to come out for diagnostic and service on a Saturday (which is a higher rate). The technician called prior to arriving like stated to let us know he was on his way. When he arrived he tried to diagnose the HVAC for about an hour the whole time saying, "I'm confused" and "it shouldn't do that". He claimed he tried replacing the control panel which didn't work. He then tells us he thinks it's a Fuel Charge (or something like that) and that it doesn't go out often so he doesn't have one on the truck and needs to take about 45 minutes
