We just finished having Kansas City Hardscapes install a large patio, and we couldn't have been more impressed with the work. The patio looks amazing. They took the time to answer every design question we had, beautifully incorporated every detail we wanted and completed the project with absolute professionalism.
There are a lot of companies that do hardscapes. But - are there a lot of Hardscape companies? When choosing who to "hire" you have to ask yourself a few things. Are they reputable? Are they consistent? Are they certified? Are they craftsmen? The answers to these questions make a big difference in price, sure - but they make a huge difference in quality.
At Kansas City Hardscapes we try to make the process of adding an outdoor living space as easy as possible. One of the main ways we do that is by giving our homeowners a 3D design of what they are looking for. Some people can visualize what a 2D drawing on a piece of grid paper is going to look like in real life, but most people can't.

This project was secured over a year ago. They did not begin the work on our patio until January. Within a month, the sand/grout was coming out of the joints. KC Hardscapes was 1 of 3 who quoted us on an outdoor project that involved an outdoor kitchen/bar area by our pool. They were very reliable, had GREAT follow-up and transparency in the original job (to include large bar area with under lights, open shelving on the back side, and most importantly a built in smoker and grill on the book ends), and were very flexible with some slight tweaks during the process. This was the best experience I have ever had on a large home project. From our first meeting with Mark to come up with a design to our final walk through with Derek we could not be more impressed by their professionalism. We had Kansas City Hardscapes install a fire pit with seating area, a grill station, brick-lined paths, and a pond with waterfall. We couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. Derek and his crew were the best contractors we have used hands down. We really appreciated Derek's hands-on approach, especially with his help in selecting materials. He was on-site daily, not only supervising but actually doing the work. It's clear he has a real passion and knowledge for what he does. From start to finish, Kansas City Hardscapes exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend them enough!

We used KC Hardscapes for installing a paver patio, installing a retaining wall, and completing some work on our existing deck. The crew was flexible and able to quickly quote changes I wanted to the project. The employees really worked hard and completed the project fast. We couldn’t be more happy with the results! Kansas City Hardscapes built us retaining walls to deal with some drainage issues. The walls are beautiful and it went really quickly even with some rain mixed in! We are so very pleased with the end result! Thank you for adding beauty and functionality to our backyard! They will be back soon to complete front and backyard patios. It’s been several months since Kansas City Hardscapes installed our new patio and we really could not be more pleased. It is gorgeous and exactly what we wanted! We love our new paver patio and steps built by Kansas City Hardscapes! We now have a seating wall to define the area and add extra seating as well as a beautiful pergola to add shade to part of the patio. Mark was great in working out a design for the project, helping us pick out pavers that we love while fitting into our budget and suggesting different options to make our patio special. The crews were polite and worked with us when minor adjustments needed to be made during the construction. And when we were done, the owner made sure that we were happy with the results. Kansas City Hardscapes was one of three companies that I asked to give a bid. First let me say, they blew the other two companies out of the water with their bid!
