We had a seamless experience with them from ordering two fireplace units through install. After dealing with another local family owned and established hearth and fireplace company, their charge for the same project install was almost 50% lower total install price than that other business. Most notably, there were no hidden fees or mysterious parts charges. Make sure you see these guys before you go anywhere else. They are upfront and ethical.

Stopped by to shop fireplace for my new home and had the pleasure of meeting the lady working behind the counter. She obviously is having a bad day or the other reviews are absolutely correct. Kinda feel sorry for the business and her. Maybe the lord will bless this business with a good people person. If this is an owner please hire someone to help you. Sorry That I see what is offered there.

Always long wait times and rude customer service when trying to schedule service - finally got a repair person scheduled (which was over a month lead-time) and 30 min after he was supposed to be there called to find out what was up - met with very rude "someone should have left you a message" - no apology, and was told to wait another 3 weeks because they were backed up. I'll find someone else, thanks.

I'm glad that a few of the reviewers were so pleased with their purchases, but if you ever need service from these people look out. I shipped a gas log burner to their sister company/manufacturer, Gas and Wood Energy, a/k/a Appalachian Stove for service. I was told that I could receive refund for any parts purchased that did not solve the problem we were having with excess noise from the burner. They claimed to have replaced the igniter assembly, but it did not solve the problem and what they sent back was indistinguishable from what we sent, and no old parts were included. Wondering why this store is even open. I have never written a negative review before, but this store is so ridiculous that I feel compelled to say something. My husband and I are building a house and we went in prepared to buy a fireplace. Years ago we had purchased porch furniture there. The man was so arrogant and rude it would have been comical if it weren't so sad. Every question we asked was met with " that doesn't have anything to do with it". Horrible to deal with. Went in the store and asked for an appointment to measure my fireplace, no one called me. A couple of months later, I emailed them to contact me which they did by email only. The lady who emailed, a service tech, never gave any information and kept telling me I would have to get the measurements and then pick out online which one fit. Like I would know! I called and spoke with a different lady, she was rushed and rude as well. Sales team is definitely very poor and i'm honestly surprised they have the business they do with such horrible customer service. I have money to spend
