Oregon Mainline Paving
Since 1963, Oregon Mainline Paving has graded, paved and improved more than 100,000 lane-miles of Oregon's major highways and roadways throughout 20 different counties. Supportive, team culture. Learn more in one summer than three years in the classroom with our intensive internship program. I had friends who had internships at other companies and didn't have as much fun as I did.

I worked hard but the people have a good attitude and make it fun. As an OMP intern you will experience all aspects of the construction process: Aggregate and asphalt production, materials testing, project management, and on-site construction and field work. We pair each intern with an experienced mentor who will make sure you are challenged and supported throughout the summer.

We expect you'll have lots of questions and we will take the time to teach you. You'll find we're more like a family who works hard and laughs a lot. With headquarters in McMinnville, Oregon, we operate and maintain three portable asphalt plants throughout the state.
Services
J.C. Compton was started as a partnership in 1963 by John Compton with his uncle, J.C. Compton. Unfortunately, J.C. Compton passed away early in 1963 and John Compton was left to run the business on his own until the end of the year. Michael D. Flanigan joined J.C. Compton in 1968 after graduating from Oregon State University and was John Compton's lead operations manager through the same period.
Our company is built on forming lasting relationships with our employees, our community, and partners. We're not just a company, we're a family at OMP. We value our team members and always strive to promote from within. We want you to grow with us and we'll give you the resources, support, and opportunity to do so.
An internship at OMP is unlike any other summer internship. You will be doing things that go beyond the traditional classroom education and will be gaining real in-depth experience. You won't just be on the road. You'll be at the quarry crushing the rock, you'll be testing the asphalt in our portable testing facility, you'll be learning about piping and putting in sidewalks.

Organized lack of coordination... Not a bad place to work other then outside influences that dictated my employment and expedited my termination after 30 mins of trying to figure out where I was working and when honestly sounds like someone in the hall that works with this shop enjoys violating workers rights and organizing ways around of accountability other then that friendly good people to work with and for if your looking for a family type of shop this is the place.. if I could do it again I probably wouldn't but I'd endorse the opportunity to work for them

I'm going on my 3rd year with OMP and I have nothing bad to say about them. The best thing is the people you get to work with. The management treats you with the utmost respect and they care about you and your family.
