A move that is a distance of 40 miles or less within Pennsylvania is classified as a local move. Rates for local moving services in Pennsylvania are regulated by the PA P.U.C. (Public Utilities Commission) and all licensed movers are required to charge rates according to the published tariff. Any variance from these rates should be questioned.

JH Bennett Moving and Storage will treat your items like trash, take your money, and then make you jump through many hoops to even try to get any money back toward damages. We had dozens of items broken or damaged. They used a single piece of cardboard and taped it over the front of our TV after promising to properly pack it. My elementary aged… kids could have done a better job packing that TV. Good luck trying to get a response from them as they just pass the buck, tell your they’ll respond and never do. Be prepared to take hours of your time filing the claim and make sure you have

I’ve used this company 3x before. This was my worst experience.
They told me i was booked for a morning move starting 8-9 am, and when I called the day before to confirm, they told me start take was 11-1 pm.
This messed up my entire day. I expected to be Done by 1-2 pm, yet at the last minute was told of the later start time. This was terribly inconvenient bc of my work obligations That I had to alter last minute.
To make matters worse, they didn’t get to my residence until 1:45 pm. Much much later than I was originally told.
AND I ENDED UP GETTING CHARGED EXTRA BC THEY WENT OVER BY 30

At first I was a bit uneasy at the cost to have a company pack and move all my belongings. Not to mention the hesitation of having strangers involved in my personal belongings. I can say now that it was worth every penny. The team packed my three bedroom home and garage in 6 hours. It only took them another 6 hours to load my belongings drive it across town and unload. It would have taken me days even with a half dozen friends. Those guys hustled and found ways to lower my bill. I can’t thank them enough.

I inquired about moving on a Friday. Thomas came out to my house to do a walk around and give me a quote on the following Monday. He called me later that day to provide the estimate and walk me through the types of insurance. He then called the next day to see if I had any questions or concerns regarding the quote. Once I chose to use them,… Annie checked in with me numerous times leading up to the move as well as on the loading and unloading days. Charlie was the lead mover and he was fantastic! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very friendly

I was extremely pleased in working with Tom on the local level. He communicated clearly and openly on every occasion we talked.
Tom worked with my United driver, Mike, to be able to stay in my area an extra day when my closing on the township took three very very days. This super helpful action by Mike and Tom saved me over $3000 in what I could have paid to have my things stalled in Charlotte. I would recommend Tom and JH Bennett highly for those considering a local or out of state move

I would not recommend this company. Many broken items and a missing piece to a desk. I expected an item or 2 to be damaged or broken, but the list is quite large and growing. My things were NOT handled with care. The best part is, nothing was said. It was just placed for us to find. That is real professional.
