Services
Thompson Hardwoods provides an amazing selection of quality hardwoods including ash lumber, cypress lumber, hickory / pecan lumber and poplar lumber to name a few. As a leading distributor, manufacturer and exporter of lumber; we're committed to providing the hightest quality hardwoods to our clients here in the United States and abroad.
The color of hickory lumber can vary from brown to reddish brown. Hickory lumber is generally straight grained, but can be wavy or irregular with a somewhat coarse texture. The characteristic 'bird pecks' give Hickory a rustic appearance. Hickory lumber is very hard, stiff, dense and shock resistance and it also has steam bending properties.
Poplar can have large sections that are of a darker color than the common creamy-white. Its well known for its durability - similar to that of oak - but with a substantial reduction in weight. It has flexibility and close grain, which gives it a balance of properties that have made it highly desirable for a number of applications for generations.
The sapwood of red oak is white to light brown and the heartwood is a pinkish red to reddish brown. The wood grain is similar in general appearance to white oak. The wood is mostly straight grained, with a coarse texture that is used for interior millwork, doors, cabinetry, flooring and furniture. The Oaks are by far the largest species group growing in the Eastern hardwood forests of the United States.

My husband works here and I can tell you from waiting to come pick him up from work and dropping him off, these boys work hard to provide quality to the costumers! But to be honest, I don't know why someone who hasn't been there in as long as Samson has would be complaining. I mean it of was my truck being unloaded by a 1200+ pound grapple being controlled from that high in the air I think I would want them to take there time so the grapple didn't hit my truck or trailer. Seems he would want his truck to not get hit over a worker rushing to do his job instead of having an operator being rushed
