Schmidt Custom Floors

Dust free. The floors are great. We had some water damaged areas and replaced carpet with hardwood in some areas. They also had to match up with 2 preexisting floor areas. Every thing was done great.

I love my new floors and runner. Dave, Liz and Jill made the experience enjoyable. After I met with Dave at my home, I went to the showroom to look at wood and stain samples. Lacking color coordination, I was thrilled when Dave, Liz and Jill all came over to assist and give me their expertise. The floor is stunning. I love my runner. The crew who performed the work were polite, professional and left my home in great shape and gave me a beautiful end product. I couldnt be happier. I strongly recommend them!!

I cannot recommend Schmidt Custom Floors. Schmidt did an ok job installing new hard floors in our office, however, the attention to detail is lacking. We thought Schmidt was a premier flooring company and was willing to pay more for better quality and better service, unfortunately, this was a mistake. When I emailed them and called them to discuss the situation I was ignored. Specifically, they left the old caulk on the baseboards and cracked the plaster in one area. If Schmidt doesn’t want to do premier work and avoid such details that is fine, but at least reply to a paying customer’s concerns

Schmidt flooring worked hard to recreate a highly custom color after our floor sustained water damage. In spite of challenges they persisted until the correct appearance was achieved. We felt confident that they would do whatever was necessary to make us happy.

Very happy with the hardwood floor resurfacing done by Schmidt Custom Floors. The floors look great and the the dustless sanders made for a low impact to our rooms. The team arrived on time and did a great job. Highly recommend.

Overall, I am happy with my experience with Schmidt Custom Flooring and I would use them again. The job was done on time and the quote was accurate with no surprises. Their customer service is great too. There was a defect in one of the planks that were installed. They had someone out the next day to replace it. They seemed to do a mediocre job of reinstalling the baseboards though. Some other things to be aware of (not necessarily bad just be aware) are that they don’t move appliances and they don’t reconnect toilets.

Schmidt's recently refinished our hardwood floors and replaced all our carpet. The staff was very professional, courteous, and responsive.
The hardwood looks better than it ever has. You would never know it wasn't brand new. The carpet installers worked tirelessly to finish the installation in one day, and they did an outstanding job working with the patterned carpet. Everything looks great and it was done on time and when promised.

Barry came through on short notice to quote our refinish/patch job. His company has an impressive portfolio of work, and this was one job I was not willing to take on during my remodel. The red oak floors in my 100 year old house were patched and stained Country White, and a water-based poly with additional white tint was applied. We went from dated, red/yellow flooring to a whitewashed look to match our contemporary kitchen/living room remodel.
Short-term review: I haven’t been on the floors yet, but the new look is exactly what we desired.
