He continued working for McKee into the mid 1980's as a dedicated employee but his desire to own his own business pushed him to leave McKee, hire a helper and begin sub contracting commercial garage door installs for various door companies in Grand Rapids. Dad worked day and night for the next few years saving every penny, looking forward to the day he would have enough to start up his own "real" business.

Discount Door came to replace a spring and operator bracket. The entire team from the phone call to the service was fast and professional. The cost was best around and they even had to come back a second time for an added part. No hidden "travel fees" and the door works great. Certainly would use them again!

I called them at 8:30am and my door was fixed UNDER QUOTE ($85 total) by 2pm! They also greased everything up after the repair at no cost! Friendly, fast, local, service!

I called Discount at 9:30am and by 10:30 am (same day) the broken spring on my garage door was fixed. Can't top that. Erin, who took my call, and Casey, who did the install, were both efficient and pleasant.
