CounterEv began in a small wood shop in Brooklyn, NY in 2007, the result of an untimely layoff combined with a personal desire to create something unique and of lasting beauty. But it was the inspiration sparked by the discovery of some dusty old bowling lanes in an Upstate New York lumber mill that really got the ball rolling, if you'll pardon the expression.
How long do I have to decide on a stain, steel or fabric color, and will it affect my lead-time? Like much of our furniture, large items ship via our Premium In-Home delivery, often referred to as White Glove. All crating material will be removed and your order will be delivered to your ground floor room of choice.
From the people who talked with me on the phone and met me on a rainy Saturday morning, to the people who delivered to my remote farm, I was treated as if I were important and my opinions mattered. All of the people I came in contact with were both friendly and professional. And as much as I like the people and their business model, I am equally impressed by the furniture.

I love my table and chairs from CounterEv, and the experience of working with CounterEv to purchase them was superb. I went to the showroom in Downtown Brooklyn on a few occasions to see what they had. I never anticipated buying anything, but the craftsmanship, design, and flexibility to custom build exactly what I needed for my space was what converted me. The team at CounterEv was great, and the team treated me like their most important customer. I particularly loved that the owner was indirectly involved in my purchase. I love my new custom CounterEv kitchen storage table. I have a fairly small kitchen so I needed something compact. The order process was easy, gave them the dimensions and other details, they even matched the color of my wall to the legs and metal shelf, and I received such wonderful and personalized customer service. Even though the height was wrong on the piece, customer service was outstanding and soon enough the correct piece was delivered and the other one picked up by two incredibly nice employees. This review is long overdue, but I lost track of time working at my beautiful new desk. The team at Counterev could not have been more helpful, flexible and excited for me throughout the process! I ordered a custom Lilly with a beautiful Whetstone finish that fit perfectly, size and aesthetic-wise in my small recording studio space in Brooklyn.

We are BEYOND happy with our new beautiful new desk! The team was so responsive to our measurement requests and happy to make it fit into our apartment perfectly! Working with ConterEv was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. They were very helpful in taking our ideas, turning them into simple drawings for us to approve and then constructing the pieces exactly to specs with perfect results. They sent pictures along the way for approvals which assured that the work met expectations. Delivery was on time, relatively fast and delivery men were very professional. All-in-all a wonderful experience and outcome. It was so much fun that I wish I needed more pieces!!
