Chain Driven Openers- Chain drives used to be the most popular garage door opener. The motor is pulled by a metal chain. Chain drives tend to be much louder than belt drives and the price between the 2 motors has narrowed to a point where the difference is no longer significant. If your garage is detached or the noise does not bother you and you want to save a little bit of money, this may be your best choice.

I've used Atlantis Door many times and Larry really knows his stuff. He came to do maintenance on my garage door and he was filled with a lot of useful information. He even gave me some tips on hanging my cabinets!
Growing up on the East Coast I could tell he was a New Yorker so maybe that's why some people thought he was rude.
All I know is he showed up on time and when he left my garage door was quieter and smoother than before.

Would give zero stars if possible.
Lawrence F. provides terrible customer service and is extremely rude over the phone.
I have heard from multiple sources that they have had similar experiences with Lawrence F. and will no longer be working with him as well.
If you value even a basic level of customer service, I would steer clear of this provider.

Lawrence F. from Atlantis Door Company came to our home and serviced my Commercial Roll-up Garage door.
Very few Garage door Service Companies are capable of servicing this door! Larry did a superb job, in very efficient fashion, going beyond the immediate needs to increase the spring tension as well as solving the original problem. Now this door operates better than it ever has.
In the ten years this door has been in operation, it has never worked this well, now quiet and smooth, no more neighbor's complaints about noise!
