Century Home Homebuilders is not the problem. The problem is the real estate agents they chose to peddle their product. Anything that Shelton & Stewart Realtors tells you is not to be believed. Trust me, they will promise everything and deliver nothing! And if the product is not what they promised, they will simply wipe their hands and walk away from their representation. Go anywhere else that doesn't involve them.

Just like other commented here, these builders lure you in with false hope. I signed a contract on a home that would take about 1 1/2 years to build. As soon as they began construction they requested another 5%. A few weeks later they emailed us that the contract price would increased 30k more due to increases in materials. The real issue is that due to the market being hot, the value of that home increased since I signed the initial contract. Century wants more profits and now they are allowing me to walk away and cancel my contract if I don't agree to the purchase price increased. I can't imagine

Where to begin on our terrible experience with this company. At first, they make everything seem like its gold. They have no model homes to show, so they simply show you a video with a digital model home of what you are “buying”. They offer you a set price for the model you choose, plus an additional price for the lot you choose, and add on constructer fee’s to your closing (which most builders will include in your loan rather than make you pay up front at closing as it is a hefty fee). All of this is fine, however they explain you later must come in to choose your final touches for your

STAY AWAY!! This company will surprise you with 30k+ closing costs the day before closing and then threaten to charge additional fees for every day that you delay closing. The quality of the build is horrible, you are forced to close on the house with over 20 issues that will be repaired in a “timely manner”. Once you close, good luck getting your repairs done. Its been over a year and my roof leaks and i need paint work. Multiple houses in the same development have the same issues. Customer service department is a joke, they have a new employee “in charge” every 3 months. I ADVISE YOU

This group and their contractors have zero respect for surrounding properties during active construction. Their employees & contractors leave trash strewn all across neighboring yards, and their office does nothing about it. Additionally, the streets are covered in dirt - meaning every time a car drives down the street they leave an unhealthy plume of dirt behind them which is not only a health hazard but has also left our vehicles covered in a layer of dirt.
