The Mold Ace inspection team serves both residential and commercial customers in the States of Connecticut and Rhode Island. Our house, apartment and commercial building inspections for mold span all counties in Connecticut and Rhode Island. Is it wise to hire a mold inspector who also performs mold remediation?
In our opinion, this is a conflict of interest. When mold is found, remediation can be a very expensive process. Although we are certified for mold remediation, we choose to exclusively provide mold inspection and sampling services. Consequently, our clients can rest assured that Mold Ace has no profit to gain from discovering a mold problem.
Because we are certified experts in the remediation process, we are often hired to inspect remediation work. We'll even help you prevent future mold problems. The microbial samples we collect during the course of our inspections are sent to EMK Testing - one of the few labs to have endured and passed the rigorous, lengthy and expensive process of becoming AIHA certified for fungal analysis.

Is mold the next asbestos? Is mold really dangerous? In recent years, mold and mildew have been widely publicized. The media has alerted Americans to the possible health risks of certain types of mold. Local and national news, television and radio talk shows, and the Internet have all contributed to the growing fear of mold and mildew.
Molds are part of the natural environment. Outdoors, molds play a part in nature by breaking down dead organic matter such as fallen leaves and dead trees. The growth of mold indoors should be avoided. Molds reproduce by means of tiny spores; the spores are invisible to the naked eye and float through outdoor and indoor air.
What symptoms are commonly seen with mold exposure? Allergic reactions (often referred to as hay fever) are most common following mold exposure.
Typical symptoms that mold-exposed persons report (alone or in combination) include: Respiratory problems, such as wheezing, difficulty breathing, and shortness of breath Nasal and sinus congestion Eye irritation (burning, watery, or reddened eyes) Dry, hacking cough Nose or throat irritation Skin rashes or irritation Headaches, memory problems, mood swings, nosebleeds, body aches and pains, and fevers are occasionally reported in mold cases, but their cause is not understood.

1 The most important part of a mold inspection is the inspection, not the mold samples. Mold samples can be misleading, are sometimes incorrect with both false positive and false negative results occurring, and can only be accurately interpreted in conjunction with a well thought out sampling plan and visual inspection.
On your Initial Contact, you will speak with a courteous professional mold inspector about your particular situation.
