For over 38 years, Mart, Inc. has served the North Texas area as a General Contractor. Our clients include over 60 school districts, 40 municipalities, and numerous private clients. With an annual volume of approximately 25 million dollars, we are large enough to handle the big projects but small enough to provide each client our personal attention.
Started in 1977 by Vernon Proctor and his wife Linda in Irving, Texas, Mart delivers exceptional service in renovation and new construction. Vernon, still active as President, established from the beginning a company founded on integrity above all else. Their son Tim is a minority owner and serves as Vice President and Director of Operations.
Mart is a comprehensive General Contractor, not a broker. We maintain an equipment and materials yard in Irving, Texas. We have full time painters, carpenters and construction laborers on staff. Mart is licensed as a Mechanical Contractor and an Electrical Contractor, and maintains a large metal shop where we complete structural steel projects of varied sizes.

We understand school policies on security and require all personnel to be badged in accordance with the district requirements. Original built in 1938; the Decatur High School Building has served at various times as a high school, middle school, college and county museum.

While completing a construction project at Williams Prep Academy in Dallas (an Uplift Education Charter School), we were approached to donate our labor and some materials in constructing a playground in association with KaBOOM! KaBOOM! is a national non-profit that envisions a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America.
