When you chose concrete as your hardscape material, you have allowed yourself a multitude of options to really maximize the appeal of your home, customized to your personal style. Concrete has many finishes and color options and can be formed into nearly any shape.
When you've picked the color and pattern of your pavers, the stones are placed over a prepared subgrade according and laid to the pattern guidelines. Paver stone patterns can have simple customizations by cutting stones to incorporate lines or borders to distinguish the change of space, say from a porch to a walkway to a driveway.

This makes retaining walls all the more important, especially if your landscape does not feature a lot of trees and shrubs to hold the soil in place.
