Reports filed state, door knockers belonging to a national company were endangering neighborhood families and when confronted, falsified their representation of working for Cape Fear Solar Systems.

We have had our solar panels for nearly two years. We have been extremely pleased with Cape Fear Solar Systems. All of their work has been very professional. It was very easy for us. They came out to the house and ran a simulation to determine the best number of panels to install. They took of of all permits and interacting with Duke. They even wrote the application to our HOA for us. (We then just had to submit it.) There were even able to get the Duke rebate for us. (A friend is having solar panels installed by another company, and he tells me that he has to apply for the Duke rebate on his own

Cape Fear Solar provides high quality products and service. When we started looking into solar we found several companies which had bad BBB reputations. When I finally found CFS, all their customers loved them and I am one of their satisfied customers. My only complaint is that they did not recommend squirrel guards when I installed my panels. I am sure they did not want to sell me something I might not need, but I wish they had mentioned it at time of sale. Otherwise very, very happy customer.

I had an excellent experience working with Cape Fear Solar Systems. We had 18 panels installed about 2 years ago and have been thrilled with the performance and reliability of the system. The folks at Cape Fear Solar are extremely helpful and friendly. My only "complaint" has been that the monitoring app left a lot to be desired early on, but has been significantly improved since then. We are on a 10-year ROI and are currently slightly ahead of schedule. I highly recommend Cape Fear Solar.

I believe we were the second home in St James to go solar with Cape Fear Solar Systems. That was in 2010. John worked up the numbers for us and we gave him the go ahead. The work was done on schedule, everything as promised, with minimal intrusion, and the work site was left spotless.
John's pay-back projections were, if anything, too pessimistic. By my calculations, the hot water system paid for itself in three years, and the electric in seven. I have had Cape Fear Solar install two solar water heaters for me at two different homes. Their work is excellent and they go out of their way to work with their clients, especially during hurricane season. I would recommend them, and do, to all of my friends who are thinking about installing solar.
