Ants also have the potential to be health risks. If they feel threatened, some will use their mouth and mandibles to pinch your skin, while others have stingers. For example, a Fire Ant sting injects a toxic venom called solenopsin, and rarely will it sting only once. Not only is the sting painful (burning like fire), but in some cases, it can be life-threatening.
Of the number of invaders that can take up residence in your home, the centipede may be one of the oddest in appearance. These creepy, yet fierce predators, tend to give people the chills when spotted. They may be mistaken for insects, but these flattened, multiple-legged, worm-like creatures are arthropods with a hard exoskeleton and a segmented body and are more related to a crawfish than a spider.
Fleas are among the most common parasites in the world. Capable of consuming over fifteen times their body weight worth of blood in a single day, they are incredibly voracious eaters and continually on the hunt for their next target. Fleas may be small with a length of an eighth of an inch long on average, but they can still prove to be a significant burden for any home or pet owner.
Millipedes have cylindrical or flattened, worm-like bodies with a shiny, hard shell and a whole bunch of body segments (typically more than 20 and as many as 100), and two pairs of jointed legs on most of those segments. They can be black, brown, orange, red, or white, and anywhere from a tiny tenth of an inch to over a foot in length.
Rodents like mice and rats are generally viewed as "nasty" creatures we don't want in our homes and offices and for good reasons. Known for their razor-sharp teeth, the more than 2,000 species of rodents are characterized by their rootless incisors and unique jawlines and muscles. Some rodents are not as reviled, such as cute guinea pigs, but uninvited mice and rats are considered a significant nuisance.

I can honestly say that Elevation Pest Management is the best pest control company we have ever used. Nick Thorne is very knowledgeable and his staff is very organized and very responsive to our needs. We have regularly scheduled maintenance with them that works beautifully in preventing any pest problems and is reasonably priced. If something unique does happen where we might need extra attention, they are quick and effective at solving the issue. I highly recommended this company.

We enjoyed working with Elevation. Nick was prompt, very responsive and was very thorough when treating our home for ants. The products he used are safe for kids and pets but I especially liked that Nick was able to take care of our ant problem from the outside instead of needing to treat inside the home. He seemed to be very knowledgeable about ants, their behavior and the best way to eliminate the problem. We highly recommend Elevation!
