In 1975, Jeff Reed had a choice following graduation from Indiana University: Get into the real estate business in Michigan or move to Carmel, Indiana and buy an 18- month-old company called Carmel Kitchen Specialists (CKS). He chose the latter, and now 40 years later, he feels he chose wisely. In the first ten years of business, the company grew slowly but surely.
We will always strive to be on the leading edge of design, providing cabinetry of superior quality and value while doing so one client at a time. To ensure the continued longevity of our company through repeat and referral business, achieved by customer satisfaction in all areas including timeliness, attention to detail, and services minded attitudes.
Jeff Reed (Owner): Jeff is an Indiana native & a graduate of Indiana University w/ a degree in Finance and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. Before that, he worked in his family's construction firm, building homes and commercial buildings. He has owned Carmel Kitchen Specialists since the summer of 1975, designing and selling cabinetry for our clients' remodeling and new home construction needs.
Deciding to re-do some of my kitchen turned out to be the hardest part. Finding Carmel Kitchens turned out to be the easiest part! I was in much need of a kitchen facelift and after obtaining quotes from a few other vendors, I decided to stop by Carmel Kitchens. I was immediately impressed with the show room and the variety of options at my disposal.
Since our start in 1975, CKS has recognized the need to provide a wide array of products and services. While I am far from finished with this remodeling project, thus far I have been impressed with the professional behaviour of the Carmel Kitchens staff. All appointments have been on time and the delivery of remodeling plans and specifications have been well done and completed with thought and consideration.
