Javan Mallery, founder and president, established Wolverine in 1996. Javan is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College and a graduate of NHLA Inspection School. Javan and his wife, Francine, and their children, make their home in Dorr, MI. Javan grew up in the hardwood business.
His dad and several extended family members have been in the hardwood lumber industry for over 100 years, dating back to the original Mallery Lumber Company of Hancock, NY, and Emporium, PA.Wolverine is based on the same family ideals Javan believes that a company has to be a family to succeed. Wolverine has a full-time lumber purchaser as well as a sales staff to help you fill your needs.
The yard force is made up of twenty dedicated guys, including two lumber graders, both graduates of the NHLA inspection school, who are on site every day. Wolverine products include primarily green and kiln-dried no. 2 common and better northern hardwoods. Species include Cherry, Soft and Hard Maple, Red Oak, Beech, Ash, Poplar, Walnut, Hickory, Figured Wood, and a variety of miscellaneous species.
