DO NOT use Texas Pool Guy! The WORST pool repair place around! The Owner “David “ will not allow his employees to give out his number OR he will not call you, so you can never talk to him regarding serious issues with HIS business! After paying up front $700 to come repair our pump, it took them 6 weeks to come and I had to call constantly and left messages! Nobody calls back! They charge for parts not needed then you have to constantly call for refund!! I am still trying to get a refund for parts never used!!
So,because they took 6 weeks to fix my leak problem, it apparently caused water

AHS sent them out due to problems with the filter. They said the manager opened up a repair claim. Ordered parts. No updates. No response to calls. Called AHS and no claim opened by the contractor. Also had a ticket open for heater and Texas Pool Guy said claim was denied. AHS representative confirmed this morning no claim was created and no denial as there was no claim. This is the fourth time AHS has sent them out. First 2 times no call no show for days. Calling the office the receptionist said they were coming out. No show. Multiple days. Then gave me an invoice for work needed and told not

AHS sent them out. No call no show for a couple days. No return calls after they finally showed up and gave me a quote. A new ahs service requested and part ordered. Have left multiple messages and still not heard a word. If AHS assigns them. Tell them to reassign you to someone else.
New update. Texas pool guy told us our repair request for heater was denied. AHS has no record of repair/parts needed ever submitted and no denial. The pool pump went down and they came out last week and submitted a replacement request. Told us that they ordered parts. No repair/parts request submitted tp AHS on

Don't hire these guys.
We had a leaking pool pump and I contacted American Home Shield to dispatch a technician.
Two gentlemen arrived a couple days later One being a trainee.) and the visual diagnosis was (Nothing was taken apart to inspect.) that the seal(s) were leaking.
Simple fix I was was told, just needed to order parts.
After a couple calls they returned to fix the leak 33 days later. Unfortunately they had misdiagnosed the issue and it was actually the seal plate that was cracked.
The technician suggested to my wife that they patch the plate with glue, as a new one would need to be

I wouldn’t recommend this business to my own worst enemy. After Aquarius pool services closed I had to find a new company to maintain my pools at my different locations. Hired Texas pool guy, they’ve been maintaining my pools for about 6 months now and today I fired them. My pools constantly stay green, I have to beg and plead with them to fix any issues with my equipment. The owner tells me my pools are green from the pollen....Really?!?!...Why werent they green every spring in the past then? This business is full of lies and neglect...I was in a life changing vehicle accident and I was bed

I spoke with this company about starting weekly pool maintenance, I told them I had a few structural repairs I needed fixed in addition to the weekly maintenance. They said they sent my repair request to the owner and they sent me the automatic payment draft forms to fill out. I never heard from them again. I have called and left several messages, I sent a text message and even an email letting them know I had the repairs completed and I was ready to start weekly maintenance service. No reply, nothing. Obviously, they don't need any new business. Completely unprofessional.

First we set up a date for this company to come out and clean our pool through Angie’s List. When no one arrived we assumed it was miscommunication between the website and Texas Pool Guy. Well, we called today to try and get a quote on how much a weekly maintenance would cost. The lady who answers seemed annoyed that I would even ask. She did ask me to send pictures of the pool so they could give me a quote and no one ever called. Explains why they have such poor reviews.....

Called them out for a pool repair, they did not complete the job. They were extremely rude when we asked them questions. How hard is it to finish your job?

Early May they changed the motor, cleaned the sand filter and changed the above ground PVC tubing which I paid for. I called the office and spoke to Mona about getting the pool cleaned since I couldn't verify if the work done was indeed working. Someone came out 3 or 4 times while I was out of town and or at work. He spoke to my son on one visit and said he would be back that was mid May. I've called numerous times and left messages with no responses. 7/22 $250.02 was charged to my account I drove to the office last week and spoke to Mona and was told I had discontinued the cleaning service. This company was hired by American Home Shield to make repairs to my spa after the breaker tripped and it wouldn't restart in Oct. They found a broken check valve and water in the main circulation pump on the 1st visit. They had to get a new pump and valve and scheduled to return. They were able to make the other pumps work, so left the system running. This caused the heater to overheat because it needs the circulation pump. When they came back with the pump (they forgot the check valve) they replaced the pump, but the system wouldn't run because of the heater issue. They had to get a new heater

We called these guys, and they were at the house cleaning our pool within a few days. They made the pool look great, and made it easy to schedule and pay. They were great on price and service. We definitely recommend them!

CAUTION! After charging over $700 for repairs, TPG left without checking to see if the spa worked. It didn't, and he never returned phone calls afterward. My fault for hiring him without reading the reviews since several others have had a similar experience. Interestingly, two different sources say he operates under some name until the complaints or lawsuits pile up, then he starts a new company. Also interesting, another more-knowledgeable contractor came and fixed the problem with a new $12 circuit breaker!

They deserve 0 stars. If you want to throw thousands of dollars away for these people to do literally nothing, then go ahead. They are formerly "Eden Pools". They would send a guy out every now and then who didn't do jack squat and now we have a green pond instead of a pool. Thanks Eden Pools/Texas Pool Guy/Whoever you are!
