We offer a wide variety of consulting services designed to meet the objectives of our clients while maintaining the highest level of integrity and care for trees. Tree care will only be undertaken when an objective analysis of the tree condition has been performed, prescriptive treatments designed and planned work has been agreed upon by all parties.
Our firm has extensive experience and acumen in assessing tree resources within and adjacent to proposed construction activities. With over 35 years experience working with projects ranging from large-scale public works infrastructure, commercial campuses, multi-unit residential and single-family homes, we have established a reputation for consistent, objective analysis.
JPA provides plant valuation and casualty loss appraisal following industry guidelines and methods. These are defined in the latest version of The Guide for Plant Appraisal authored by the Council of Tree and Landscape Appraisers and published by the International Society of Arboriculture. James was instrumental in forming the American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA) Appraisal Advisory Group (A3G) in 2008.
Regardless of size or scope, our team can provide management programs for your trees. Without a management program in place the proper care may not be provided on an on-going basis, resulting in the potential loss of value. A management program creates a clear set of objectives and actionable set of tasks to be followed on a periodic basis.
Our team of Certified Arborists has extensive training and experience asessing the risk trees may present. Our early studies of tree anatomy were conducted by splitting hundreds of cords of firewood from numerous tree species by hand, without the use of mechanized equipment. Further knowledge of tree structure was gained through three decades of climbing, pruning, removing trees along with observations of hundreds of failed tree remnants.
