Seaside Sweep

We have an odd issue with our fireplace. Problem was thoroughly investigated and requires more research with the manufacturer (Superior). Appreciate the confirmations of the appointment beforehand, arriving on time and willingness to get the issue(s) resolved.

Heat went out in our home and they made time to fit us in during an already busy schedule to see if they could help any way they could . Quick and courteous , great company

They were on time, and honest. Instead of hitting me with unnecessary sweep because of how clean the chimney was, we chatted through some of the preventative/care measures to take to prolong the life of the fireplace/chimney after the inspection.

I'm writing this as Neil and the Seaside Sweep guys are leaving our house. They've just spent 2 hours completely dismantling and cleaning our woodstove in addition to having adjusted the angle at which our flue attaches to the woodbox. After our last cleaning, their technician had expressed a concern as to how he had bumped the flue slightly which may have changed that exit angle. With no documentation of the actual angle at initial installation, this may have been an already existing condition... However, as this could have potentially created an issue with how the flue is sealed, he got Neil

After many calls to various masonry companies, roofers, general contractors and so called experts, I reached out to Seaside Sweep for help with my leaky chimney. They came out promptly and accurately diagnosed the problem. They cleaned the chimney exterior first, repaired the myriad of cracks in the stucco facade, applied a sealant to the exterior, and placed a custom-built beautiful stainless steel chimney cap on top. After all that, I still had a leak when they tested their work. They discovered that the flashing around the "cricket" was defective- now I had been informed by 3 separate roofing

The technicians, Jacob and Drew, were very knowledgeable, personable, and professional. Jacob explained everything I needed to know about having a safe fireplace. My chimney didn’t need sweeping, but because of water leaking into the fireplace, I needed a cap on the chimney. They installed the cap for me.
