Before I talk about The Living Door and who I am, what really matters most to me is who you are. My goal with every project is to make sure you have everything you need for your design + build project, major remodel, or customized interior design solution. Maybe you've realized that a new construction project is right for you.
I've been doing interior design in Sioux Falls for more than 10 years, but how long I've been doing it doesn't matter as much as how I do it-or more specifically, how we do it. My inspiration comes from my clients. The more I get to know you, the more excited I am to put who you are into every aspect of your home's design.
New construction, design + build, or whatever you want to call it, I love an opportunity to turn a blank slate into the home you've always dreamed of. But at the Living Door, I'm not just here to make your rooms look pretty. I help you interview builders, compare bids, and make sure you understand the process and the value you're getting from your potential builders.
Some people love their houses, but have always wanted to redo a room or two. If that sounds like you, remodeling might be your best option. I've had clients remodel single rooms and others who have remodeled their entire homes (literally!). However big the project may be, I would love to work alongside you in the redesign process from concept to completion.

We just finished our new build and it is safe to say, I wouldn't have our amazing home without the work of Ruth Ann! From day one meeting with her and our builder, I could tell I needed to work with her, but it wasn't until we got going on the project that I realized we couldn't have built without her!
Ruth Ann's personality is the best and she worked with me to get to know me and things that I like. I wasn't at all sure what I wanted or what options I had, but through conversations and showing her a couple colors and projects that I liked, she was able to plan out the details of our house better

Ruth Ann was absolutely outstanding. She was part of our house project from start to finish, and was completely invested the entire time. Her attention to detail was incredible. She was there every step of the way to help us build our home. She was there to help us with the decisions we needed help on, and handle the decisions we didn't want to deal with. She always listened to us. You could tell that her top priority was that we were completely happy with the the home we were building. We absolutely loved how it turned out! We would recommend Ruth Ann to absolutely anyone considering building

One of the reasons we hired Choice Builders to build our home is because it included Ruth Ann. I can’t imagine going through a build with out her. Her talented eye for design, her desire to get personal and create what you want at an affordable cost and her spunk all make her a true gift to the profession. Ruth Ann not only guided us through every step in picking out ALL the things, but she also designed our floor plan. And we couldn’t love our home more. RuthAnn (and Ryan) created and built the perfect home for us. If you are looking to build or remodel, I can’t recommend Ruth Ann highly
