Pipe issues can be difficult to diagnose. Most of them are underground, and a lot of contractors rely on experience (guesswork!) to find the trouble spot. While water damage and leaking sewage are usually pretty obvious; leaks, cracks, and pinholes can be hard to find. Problems usually begin as smaller issues but after being ignored, they can quickly become serious.
Regular drain maintenance isn't something most homeowners think of. They usually wait for a drain to clog or an emergency to strike before calling a professional. Drain emergencies can happen at any time. Life can come to a standstill. Most plumbing companies offer emergency drain cleaning services, but they might be more expensive and you will often find out that they can't solve the problem in just a few hours.
Drain pipe clogs and sewer line clogs in residential or commercial buildings occur when particles and solid materials such as debris, sludge, sand, grease, food particles, etc. block the sewer line and drains. They obstruct the free flow of sewage or wastewater, causing sewage backup or wastewater spill.

I've had a varied experience with AK. I've used them for 3 sewer inspections. The first one was less than $200 (I think $175) and they provided digital video of the inspection. The last two times they charged $300 per inspection and didn't provide video. Additionally, one of the inspections was a failure in that they didn't make it around the bend in the trap. At the first price, I thought it was a great value and service. I will shop around next time due to the high price point.

Run away!!! Scammers took advantage of my elderly father. Scam works like this: Blockage in pipes requires them to camera the blockage. Have to dig a test pit to gain access to the pipe, they claim to be unable to quote properly unless they excavate and replace trap over $5,000 so far . Your plumbing is out of service then follow up quote "discounted" to additional $20,000 to line pipe, at this point you are committed and stuck with them lining pipe, as it will take weeks for another plumber to come in and they have your sewer out of service. They are substantially MORE than digging

I had AK Pipe Lining to make a repair to a pipe in my backyard that was clogged with debris. Gary and his team assured me that the clogged pipe was the reason for the backup of water not going draining properly. They told me they were 100% sure that this repair made for a cost of $1500 would solve my water issues. Well, it didn't work and they left my yard without even packing down the dirt and grass properly where they dug up to install the new part of the pipe. When I called them to say that the water was still not going down the pipe and still backing up in front of my driveway and at the end

I contacted Gary from A.K when it became clear we were not going to be able to handle digging up the sewer lines at the Hotel in house .. He came and visited the property and assesed the situation in a professional manor and gave us a honest and complete quote for the repair costs. He left nothing out there were no surprises we knew upfront how his team were prepared to handle the lining process .The team he brought in were curtious and well mannered. We had A K pipe line work on our sewage system in our backyard. We needed a pipe replaced. After the job was finished, one of the workers had advised us that they will leave their equipment on our backyard and will be back to pick it up as well as level off the ground and clean up after themselves. Unfortunately, after the equipment was picked up, the area where they had dug was left as a mess and nothing was leveled off as they had told us. AK Pipelining did a job for my company several months ago in which they re-lined an existing 8" sewage line for a major customer of ours. The work was done on a weekend. They completed the job ahead of time and with the utmost professionalism. I would recommend them highly and use them again.
