This business is primarily dedicated to make huge profits. If they don't have an item, they will have it shipped to Alaska at a percentage of the cost of the item, which is always vastly greater than the actual shipping cost. They act as if they're doing the customer a favor in this regard. You're much better off to buy items cheaper in Seattle and use a freight forwarder to Alaska. Customer service ends after they get their payment!

Most people aren't familiar with Elaine S Baker & Associates, here in Anchorage. It's a wonderful furniture store with some unique and wonderful upscale pieces. Beautifully hand crafted wood pieces and furniture you just won't find anywhere else in Anchorage, let alone AK. The pack a ton of furniture into their location and it's a lot to take in, but well worth it.

Nice furnishing. $$$$. Run semi annual sales. Initially service oriented until first check is required and received. Largely disappeared from that point on, which was a very different outcome than they described. Heavy focus on securing order monies. Customer hears an interesting range of explanations why things have gone sideways for a business this old. Follow-up work (what there is) i was mostly done by others rather than original sales contact.. For us, experience felt similar to working with an auto dealership.
