Sunrise Insulation & Excavation
A home built using spray foam insulation is stronger, tighter, and more solid in strong winds and weather. Spray Foam Insulation bonds to framing and exterior sheathing and helps hold the structure together. Fiberglass insulation is a cost-effective, energy-saving product used primarily to control temperature and sound.

Installing fiberglass insulation is one method we use to build an insulation system around a structure. With over 50 years of experience, we have had the opportunity to insulate all kinds of projects for an amazing group of customers & clients. Our vast experience includes projects for both commercial and residential applications.

How can we help? We have been lowering energy bills in the Finger Lakes region and Northern Tier of Pennsylvania since 1969. Save on both heating and cooling costs with insulation professionally installed by Sunrise Insulation. Some clients have reported savings of 50% or more! Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has kept us growing for more than 40 years.

Tim's father, the late Lee Gibson founded the insulation division after building a house in 1968 on Keuka Lake for Ken Satterly. Mr. Satterly was a chemist for Witco Chemical Company in Delaware, one of the original suppliers and pioneers in the urethane industry. Mr. Satterly introduced Lee Gibson to polyurethane foam and Lee immediately became intrigued by the closed cell concept of sealing buildings from moisture and air infiltration.
Sunrise Insulation believes spray foam insulation is the best way to reduce energy costs and improve thermal efficiency. That is why we have specialized in spray foam insulation for over 50 years. An ideal insulation system provides resistance to heat flow (R-Value) and controls air movement and limits moisture migration.
We are proud to use Owens Corning Fiberglass Insulation for our insulation projects that require fiberglass. Owens Corning invented fiberglass insulation and has been the market leader ever since. Fiberglass insulation is a cost-effective, energy-saving product used primarily to control temperature and sound.
Pole barns, buildings, and sheds with walls assembled from wood or metal vertical sheeting with thermal bridging can be a significant source of heat loss. As the wind blows over the unprotected cracks in the walls, it creates air gaps which enhances convection allowing cold air to enter, and hot air to escape.
Closed cell results in rigid, hard foam with a density of 1.8 to 2.3 pounds per cubic feet. Open cell results in soft, flexible foam with a density of about 0.5 to 0.8 pounds per cubic feet. We started our spray foam insulation business in 1969 - one of the first contractors in Upstate NY to apply this type of insulation.
