The self-closing hinges (D&D) John's team installed 14 months ago performed very well on one of our pedestrian gates and therefore my HOA decided to gradually migrate all of our pedestrian gates from older Locinox hinges to D&D hinges recommended by John. John's team responded quickly to our emergency RFP (one older Locinox hinge broke off) and installed D&D's on two more gates within 1 week!

Extremely professional and always tidy, I couldn't have asked for a better team to help us install our gates. They definitely knew what they're doing and I highly recommend AOG/John for any of your gate projects. He was also willing to work closely with my columns guy which was extremely helpful. John and his team are great. He's knowledgeable, prompt in returning phone calls, shows up when he says he will, does a great job of scheduling work and accommodating tough requirements. He also works well with other sub contractors. He did two large projects for me and was easy to work with on both throughout all phases of the construction (laying conduits under ground to final installation and trouble shooting). His bids are detailed and clear and he invoices promptly, which helps p.o s with bookkeeping. I highly recommend John for any iron work, gates, motors and phone entry systems

Automatic Gate Operations did an excellent job. They were responsive and professional. I had a real bad squeak when my gate would open and close. In addition the gate would not close all the way.
Amada was very nice and efficient in setting up my appointment. They actually were able to fit me in sooner than my appointment. They fixed all of my issues for a very fair price and they would be the first company I called again if I had an issue with my gate. Already referred them to my neighbor!

I am really glad I found john and his team!!! They are GREAT....
My previous gate guy finished the job per their standard and basically just did HALF job to make my gate WORK!!! It did NOT work appropriately smoothly. After he finished the work, we can't find him to come back to fix the problems. That was the reason we need professional assistance.
John came out to do initial evaluation and explained to us what went wrong and what need to be fixed. During the first visit, he even tried to fix some minor problems. After that, he gave us a reasonable quote. With the reasonable waiting period

I needed a gate with an opening of 16ft, so I went with a metal frame double swing gate with 6 inch square poles that were put into the ground 42 inches. Rock solid gate. I had redwood placed on the outside to match my existing wooden fence pattern. John and his partner did an outstanding job. The welding seams were very professional. My neighbor is a welder and used to work at a company that fabricates metal gates and fences and he said the workmanship was awesome. BTW, his old company never returned my call and my neighbor said his old company would have charged me more than what I paid

I had my mighty mule gate opener for 12 years & then it just didn't work anymore. Really hard to find a company to install it as it's a for a do it yourself ( not too easy for a woman). I missed my appointment with John for an estimate due to last minute family obligation. We ended up talking over the phone about the project but John came out a second time the next day so we can meet and make sure he knows exactly what I wanted. I never had anyone come out twice when I missed the appointment, especially for an estimate.
I'm glad I went with John on the project. His price is competitive, and he kept me updated from start to finish. Another company I got an estimate from never got back to me when I told them the design was wrong. John

Awesome experience. John was great. I had a concern that there might be something tricky with my installation because I already had a gate installed but it wasn't automatic. John came out the same day I called him and gave me an estimate which calmed my fears considerably. He and his coworker came out the next week and had the system installed in about 4 hours with no issues. Everything was perfect, highly professional, and to my satisfaction. I would recommend this service to anyone.

John was professional and efficient. He was able to come out to do a service call for my Liftmaster LA400 right away. He is very knowledgeable on the Liftmaster gate opener and was able identify the faulty connection with my control board within a few minutes. He also took care of the wiring of my solenoid lock and got it to work. Something my previous contractor couldn't figure out for the life of him. He also made additional welding to my gate to make it more stable. John's price was very affordable unlike other authorized dealers. Highly recommended.

Finding a competitive and affordable custom gate installer for a residential home in the Bay Area is tough. Most companies will not quote anything below $10,000. Until I came across John's company Automatic Gate Operations while searching Craigslist :)

John did the automatic gate for my house. Whether it was doing a quote estimate or on the day of the job itself, John was always on time, a few minutes early actually. Job was also completed as scheduled and the work site cleaned up afterwards. John's pricing is very reasonable and he takes the time to explain the job. He has since done some more railings for me and will be doing some more things at my carport. Aside from the great workmanship, John is also very responsive. I can call or text or email and he always responds in a timely manner. Very highly recommend.
