Fred Pree moved to this area from Michigan in the mid 1980's. He was already very familiar with tree services having worked on his father's crew for years. Fred started Pree's Tree Service in 1989 and quickly began building a large customer base by giving his customers the best service available.

We are well trained to remove any tree that is a danger or has become a problem for your property. We can also provide debris removal. Whether from storm damage or an accumulated brush pile, we have the equipment to clean up any mess. Our pruning techniques are correct. Not because we say so, but because we are constantly being educated in proper practices by the International Society of Arboriculture and the Tree Care Industry Association.
Crew member Nick Creamer navigates one of his first climbs in our magnificent Training Oak at our facility. Learning to climb without Spikes or Gaffs is very important because it allows us to prune hard to reach trees without damaging them. Sometimes when we climb to our office in the morning, we are greeted with a fantastic view.

Prees showed up here at 7:30 and by 2, they were cleaned up and gone. Had really good equipment and three workers who worked very well together. Communicated with headsets and safety seemed to be a priority. Left almost no debris at all, and stacked some logs for me to use for firewood. Price was right in line with two other quotes that I had gotten. Will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for tree work.

I would recommend using Pree’s to everyone! The level of work they do is amazing and above what the competition does. The crew that comes out to your home is professional, extreemly friendly and helpful. Clean up is always perfect. Their equipment they use is top notch! They can do removals with a crane which is beyond amazing to see. If you have not called and gotten an estimate I highly recommend you do! They have many Arborists on staff to ensure excellence in their work as well as educating customers. Great work Pree’s! I could not ever imagine using anyone else!!

Pree's Trees came out to cut down the burned trees we incurred during the Gatlinburg fire. The price was fair. They showed on time. The crew was hardworking and courteous. The clean up job was excellent! They provided professional service in every way! We would definitely use them again. Kudos to Ben and the Pree's Tree Service crew!

Very professional examination of our trees with well thought out recommendations for improving the health and longevity of the trees. Pree's is also very value conscious and identified issues that could be addressed but also made some recommendations not to perform some services because the trees were in too poor of health.

The entire experience was excellent. The crew showed up right on time, with their equipment ready to go. Prees has some of the most up to date tree removal equipment. We were impressed with the way in which the crew used it, in a safe and efficient manor. The company is very safety conscious. Each member was equipped with a helmet, safety goggles, ear protection, coveralls and an intercom system which connected all crew members, assisting them with communication during the job. The crew showed great respect for our property and we were very pleased with the clean up. We highly recommend this company

Ben and his crew are professional in every way. We had to remove 4 large Ash trees from a very difficult hillside that goes down to the lake. They did it with very little surface damage to my back yard and they even repaired that. Clean up was immaculate! Ryan and Matt and their team worked in a most safe and efficient manner. Each wore hard hats with earpiece and microphone so they could stay in constant communication even when chain saws were buzzing. They worked very methodically, and safety was always discussed and planned before an operation was started. They had great equipment, great training

Our experience with Prees's Tree Service was business as it should be. My husband and I contacted Ben to request a consultation regarding several old trees on our property. Within a few days we were walking the property with Ben and learning about our wonderful trees from an arborist's perspective. He gave us alternative suggestions for addressing our issues. Ben shared the pros and cons as well as the cost of different procedures. His team of four arrived a few days later. Each of the young men exhibited a passion for trees. They were all arborist or horticulture students at UT.

We used Prees Tree Specialists to trim and remove trees on land we own. We found Prees on line and couldn't be happier with our experience. Owner Ben Hazel met us at the property and spent the morning evaluating the trees and making recommendations for the work to be done. At no time did we feel pressured to do more than was necessary and in fact asked him to do more than he advised. We live out of state and found Ben easy to communicate with via phone and email. The cost of the work was very reasonable and exactly as quoted. I highly recommend Prees and plan to use them in the future.
