I had an amazing experience with John and his team and was very satisfied. I was in a bind when another tree company delayed/canceled on me 3 times and kept pushing me back on their schedule. I was referred to Big Timber Tree Service by a neighbor. John came out the next day to meet with me to provide a quote and put me on his schedule. He even worked with getting me to get on his schedule sooner due to a landscaping job that was set on my to take place the following week. I highly recommend John and his team - they are extremely good at what they do. They were incredibly professional and friendly. My backyard was riddled with trees - big and small - and they gave me several quotes and worked with me as I decided which trees to remove. They removed the trees and ground the stumps without causing any damage to the yard or property despite several of the trees being close to the house and fences. They took every expectation and exceeded it.

Extremely knowledgeable, excellent communication and good pricing. Big timber sent me a hard quote within 24 hours and answered my additional questions quickly. They removed a few dead trees and limbed up some overgrowth in my backyard. While on site they were very careful not to tear up my lawn, picked up all the branches and even blew the dirt off the driveway. The process could not have been easier. If you are tired of chasing around contractors, I would absolutely recommend John and Big Timber Tree Service.

I've had two experiences with this company; both were excellent. In the summer of 2019 Big Timber took down a massive pin oak on my neighbor's property near the property line. Much of the canopy was over my back yard and several large limbs extended directly over my house. The company owner, John Hamel, handled the actual climbing tasks; he was assisted by 4 or 5 ground personnel. A crane was not used; my neighbor's yard and my yard served as the "drop zones".
