To maintain your lawn healthy, make sure your grass gets at least an inch of water every 3 days, mow it once a week, and fertilize it every 8 weeks during the growing season. J&A Landscaping is extremely excited about the opportunity of working with you this season. In summer it is easiest to evaluate the health of the tree and do minor trimming or thinning. During the months of November through March, it is the best time for the health of the tree to do the heavier pruning. You should only remove 10 to 20 percent of the tree branches from the edge of the canopy.
Mulching promotes tree growth by reducing environmental stress and providing a stable root environment that is cooler in the summer and insulating to the soil during the winter months. Mulched soil contains more moisture than the surrounding soil. If your mulch is too thick, it prevents water from reaching the soil.
