After hearing about Hardscape from a neighbor that had great work done, we gave Jim a call. My family worked with Jim and his entire team on our backyard project. We trusted the whole team with a somewhat complex project that included multiple different paver styles, levels, curves, a full bar, and both a fire and water feature with landscaping and lighting detail. As the project finished we have to say it turned out looking better than we thought. We had an aggressive deadline to hit for a party in our backyard and Jim's team was able to shift people on and off the project as appropriate

Besides having 2 pavers and limestone (which he promised us was better than granite) crack a month after they finished, they installed a fan in our OUTDOOR patio that was not intended for damp or wet weather. So basically an indoor fan was installed outdoors by this "professional" landscaping company. Now the owner has disappeared and has been ignoring our emails and phone calls for months. Broken pavers, cracked limestone and a non functioning (at least) $800 fan. Do not trust this guy with your project!!

Jim and his team did a nice job with a new patio and outdoor kitchen, although it went a lot longer than he initially quoted. The problem is once it's done and he has your money he completely disappears. There were a few defective pavers and some electrical issues and it's been three months of calling and emailing and he will not respond. The guy fell off the face of the earth. Awful customer service. I'd suggest finding a company that cares more about your project being successful long than your money.

Hardscape, Inc. designed our deck and patio. They did an amazing job incorporating everything we wanted within our budget. They designed an awesome brick serving station next to our grill with a granite top. The seating around the brick firepit was perfect. Jim and his workers were very attentive to detail and were very easy to work with. Their customer service was beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend Hardscape, Inc.

I contacted Hardscape during the winter to obtain a quote for a backyard project this spring. I took a day off and Jim came to our house and seemed to have some great ideas to transform our back yard. He took a copy of our plat of survey and told us we'd have a design back from him in a week since it was the off season. We never received a call back. When I called to inquire a few weeks later I was told Jim had been out of town but that he had a design ready to share. We never heard from them again. I never tired to call again.

We worked with Jim and his team, and are extremely happy with our patio. He walked us through every phase of the design process, and provided vital insight during the construction phase as well. He has a wealth of knowledge on how each product will look in real life versus on paper, as well as how the Chicagoland weather cycle will affect each component. Jim put together a great entertainment space complete with a covered grill area, giant firepit, seating wall, as well as a granite countertop.
