Manny started working as a carpenter's assistant more than 20 years ago building homes for contractors in Houston, Texas. In 2004, he arrived in Charlottesville with dreams of building his own business. For nine years, he worked as an employee and subcontractor for various contractors and building companies around Charlottesville.
