METROFENCE offers service in Grand Rapids, Holland, Grand Haven and all surrounding suburbs. We can provide design, layout, installation and repair of virtually any type of fence and gates. Considering having a new fence built? Your City, Township or Village may require a permit. We are knowledgeable of the rules, regulations, and ordinances in your area, and can assist you with Building Permits, Fence Permits, or Zoning Permits.
Wood Fence has long been a great choice for fencing. At MetroFence we generally custom build our wood fence on site (not pre-built panels). This allows us to build a better fence, reduce waste materials, and accommodate for slopes and changes in terrain. In West Michigan, the type of lumber most used is Pressure Treated Pine, Cedar, or a combination of both.
Chain-link Fence is generally one of the most economical, and maintenance free. It offers great flexibility and will fit with almost any terrain. We offer both, standard Galvanized Chain-link Fence (silver/grey), or an increasingly popular option, Vinyl Coated Chain-link Fence which is offered in several colors (black, brown, or green).
PVC-Vinyl Fence is a popular alternative in virtually maintenance free fencing. Although its initial cost is higher than most wood fence, it does not have to be painted or stained. It offers a crisp clean look that will complement almost any property and will last for years. MetroFence offers a complete line of professional quality PVC-Vinyl Fence in many heights, styles and colors.
Ornamental Fence is quite often referred to as Wrought Iron Fence. This is sort of an outdated term. These metal fences are generally built of Aluminum or Steel that is more rust resistant and has a durable powder coated finish. MetroFence has many different designs and colors ranging from modern and contemporary, to the more ornate or classic looking in appearance.

I had a black chain link fence recently installed by Ivan and Toby and they nailed it! Customer service was top notch, communication was excellent and the workmanship is second to none. The wait was about 4-5 months but all I can say is IT WAS WORTH IT! The price was extremely competitive and the customer service was even better. Don't do business with another fence company, MetroFence is the only choice! I can't recommend enough.

Ivan and his team did a fantastic job removing our old chain link, installing a new wood fence, and repairing our existing gate. I'm so pleased with the outcome of our new fence and I can't wait to spend all season enjoying my "new" backyard. Ivan kept in contact leading up to the project and when we needed some extra work they attended to it quickly at no extra cost. Would very highly recommend metrofence. Look no further. We used MetroFence, Grand Rapids, in January 2021 after an extensive search in Grand Rapids or an excellent installer. You never know when you hire a company to do a major project like this. However MetroFence more than exceeded our expectations. They were professional, prompt, excellent communicators, and the outcome was an absolutely superb shadowbox cedar fence. There are not enough superlatives available to describe their work. Ivan, the owner, is trustworthy, skilled, conscientious, and reliable. As is his assistant,Toby. You can’t go wrong here.
