Big and beautiful. These sheds are for the home owner who needs maximum storage outside of the home. With the addition of a loft, the "barn style" roof of the gambrel shed offers a large area for overhead storage in addition to the floor. Built where you want it and built right. Randy just finished building a 12x16 gambrel shed in my backyard. It is amazing! When he heard that I was going to reserve the loft for my kids to use as a fort, he suggested a few add-ons that made it both safe and "extra cool". They worked hard the whole time they were here. Very respectful, no blaring music, no swearing. He was very considerate in explaining things to me more than once or in a different way so that I understood (as I don't speak construction!) That's important to me. I would highly recommend this company.

Randy just built two sheds on some property here in Portland for me. Very pleasant and professional experience.
I'm old (as my kids will verify) and I've worked with dozens of contractors & sub-contractors over the last 45 years. Some big, some small - some competent and some who just thought they were. I've built log cabin homes for a company out of Maine years ago so I know a bit about construction.
All that being said, there's no doubt in my mind that Randy's company is in the top 2% of businesses and builders I've dealt with. He's honest and his communication is first rate.

Randy was great to work with from initial contact through project completion. They built a lean-to style shed in our backyard down a steep embankment that I'm sure didn't make the project all that fun. But, no complaints from the guys, they were professional, efficient and nice.
Project was completed on budget and on time. Randy even fit me into his schedule between larger jobs which was a huge deal. I've referred Berger construction to a friend of mine already and will continue to do so. Happy camper here.

I would definitely give Randy 5 stars.....easy. First off, you'll find him very professional when you talk to him about your project. He will try his best to make your project work and still fit in your budget. He and his helper work very fast... really fast. Everyday I come home from work and just get in awe of how much they accomplish in a day. I don't have any pictures yet of my 10' x 20' shop but I would definitely post follow up pics in the future. I would highly recommend Randy to anyone who wants quality build in a short amount of time and with very reasonable price. Thanks Randy!!!

Randy has done several jobs for our family - he's been a joy to work with, and he brings great craftsmanship and pride to his work. He respects the integrity of the individual job at hand with deep attention and sensitivity. I've worked with many contractors, but I've never worked with anyone who had the sensitivity Randy showed. The first project he worked on was finishing the exterior and interior of a traditional English timber frame I had built by hand. Because of my work, I had run out of the free time necessary to complete the job, but I needed someone capable of respecting the work already

Randy Berger offered just what we were looking for. A really solid, well built shed with enough personal options to make it just the way we wanted.
Choice of materials and overall design offered by Randy was inline with our needs to get this shed designed and built.
Construction was swift and completed to our satisfaction.
In the Northwest area you'll be hard pressed to find a company that offers any more value than Berger Construction does. We're picky and we love our shed and it's cost was fair and reasonable.

Randy built a small garage for us this summer, and he did a bang-up job. He's also about as good as you'll get in terms of honesty and integrity. Super nice guy, good communicator, and good attention to detail. He also attended to any issues we raised, and he's affordable, too. He basically sells himself as a shed builder, but I would wholeheartedly recommend him for bigger projects. I also had a small shed built by a well-advertised competitor of Randy's, also in Salem, and the difference was night and day: that other guy was the pits. One thing to point out - Randy does not attempt to do design

After searching the internet and big box stores for many weeks looking for a quality shed to put up on our property, I decided to give Berger Construction a call based on their Craigslist advertisement. My phone call was promptly returned by Randy and we talked over a few of the basics that I was interested in. Over the next week he emailed me with pricing info and options. We added a couple of options to a 12' x 16' shed, including matching the exact same roofing we had on our new house. He emailed us a contract and we scheduled a construction date.

We were doing a back yard renovation which included taking out an old garden shed and replacing it with a new one. I was just about to have my husband build one using a kit I found on the Costco website when I found Berger Construction/Pacific Outbuildings ad on craigslist. I decided to contact them just to see what the price would be to have them build it for us instead of purchasing a kit.
I'm so happy I did. Randy contacted me right away with an initial quote and information about their building practices. I scheduled him to come out to take a look at our building site and discuss options.
