After many years as an arborist in Green Bay, WI, Mike moved to Asheville, NC to pursue an Environmental Studies Degree from Warren Wilson College. Kelly from SolFarm designed the perfect system for my homestead and he helped me understand and maximize the Duke solar rebate program which resulted in over $9,000 in cash rebates on top of the federal tax incentive. Our solar is up and running and we are so thrilled!! No more Duke Energy bills! Our Solfarm team included Nick, Mike, Shawn and Pepe. They all were outstanding from start to finish! They were the third bid we took and obviously the most professional and truly local company that we talked to. They led us through the rebate process that went through without a hitch, they handled all interfaces with Duke and even installed two NEST thermostats for us for free. HIghly recommended. I received complete proposals from three qualified companies including SolFarm. They were responsive and helpful throughout the entire process and worked closely with me as I chose to modify some aspects of the project. The couple of times that problems occurred they took care of them quickly and courteously. I would definitely use them again.

Each phase of the project from discovery, to design, to install, to commissioning, to sign off was done well. There were issues but they were able to resolve them. There were obstacles but they found solutions and were patient with a tech oriented homeowner that knows just enough to be dangerous.
Calls for questions or support have been promptly returned.
Crew is friendly and hard working.
Design person / team is very knowledgeable and was the ONLY company out of 6 bidders that left me feeling confident that they could accomplish what we wanted to do.

We're only a couple of months into our solar experience, but we have been very pleased so far. The entire Solfarm team is very knowledgeable and good about following up and answering questions. From our initial conversations about system function and design, working with us to create the best possible system for us and a wonderful installation to helping us with all our early questions about the "live" experience- understanding the meter, the online monitoring app, and walking us through the Duke rebate program, it's been a great experience. We just has a system installed and it's up and running. This is our 3rd system install so we have some insight into how this normally works. First off we contacted 5 companies. Only two replied. Points for starting the process! We had good follow up to size the system. They came to us to discuss options, what we wanted and generally educate us on the local details and new developments. Moving ahead with the project, all moved forward as planned. This is a small company so some follow up needed on our part but in general replies came next business day or two. High rating for this team!

They gave us a fair price and an excellent return on investment with our system. When we decided to finally dive into the solar world, we didn't know where to begin. We are so pleased to have found such an exceptional local team.
