I ordered wood almost a year ago around March or April and have yet to receive it. After 2 or 3 months and no word i decided to call and check on it and I was told " its our busy time and I'm down a few guys which is slowing me down" and I was patient because I understand things happen plus last year wasn't really a good year for anyone also I had seen their work from wood my parents had ordered in the past. Well, I called around September and was told "I'm cutting it now and then it needs to dry, I'll have it in a month" Month goes by and I call to check on it and hear the drier is down, no big

Got some Cypress lumber from them. They need to sharpen their blades for cleaning up the boards. Had chatter marks on faces of lots of the finished boards. Will run them through my planner to clean them up before I can use them. Maybe next time we will get smother surface boards.
They are very willing to help you get what you needed and try to do a good job.
They also were very helpful in pulling my order and pulling the boards. I know it's hard to get it perfect, but they try to do a good job.
Will probably go back for other material when I go back through that area again.

Recently Moved to Adel and just discovered the Guthrie Lumber Yard. I would like to say I am an advance DIY with huge dreams of custom wood projects. This is not your typical Lowes or Home Depot Lumber yard. Small town lumber yard, slightly disorganized, but friendly and will find anything you need. They specialize in a variety of wood types and cuts. Below is a king size bed that I have built with their wood.
