Eric started his work as a laborer in the construction trade in June of 1978. He was fortunate enough to work for the same framing contractor for 15 years, while learning and honing his carpentry skills. During that time, Eric developed a keen sense of project management. He worked with diverse, yet complex design applications, while also using different species of woods, materials, attachments and the like.
Eric obtained his Contractors State License (B) in 1990. He continued to work on a variety of residential renovation and addition projects. Through his experience, Eric developed the necessary leadership, communication, planning and coordinating skills needed to run a successful construction business.
Over the years, Eric has established solid working relationships and partnerships with a unique and successful team of designers, architects and subcontractor tradesman. Eric's mission is to work with great clients and deliver above and beyond their expectations through top notch management, leadership, communication, collaboration and above all, integrity.

Eric Sherwood Construction is first rate company. Eric and his employees are hardworking, great attention to detail, respectful, clean up after the job and accountable. Eric returns phone calls, texts and emails promptly and professionally. Does the job right the first time with the highest standards. We added a bedroom, converted a small room to an additional bathroom, remodeled laundry room and addition of a paved patio area. Absolutely love the space. Eric is honest, respectful and a great person. So lucky to have found this company

I had a very positive experience with Sherwood Construction. My parents home in Napa needed some last minute repairs prior to close of escrow— Eric and his team went above and beyond by providing a timely estimate. They were able to begin the work promptly and complete all of the necessary repairs within a few days. I was very pleased with Eric’s employees, they were professional, produced quality work, and thoroughly cleaned up after their work was complete. We learned of Eric 18 yrs ago through a friend. Since then Eric has done an addition to our house, built a shop/barn, front porch, deck cover and remodeled our downstairs guest area. He holds his work, and those who work with him, to the highest standards.
He is prompt to the work site, returns calls (!) and is an all around nice guy. Without hesitation we always recommend Eric to our friends.

I’ve had Eric Sherwood Construction do many different types of work at my house over the last 15 years. Everything from building an in-law unit, to laying a new garage floor with drainage under the house, to their most recent work, putting in a new tile shower.
Each has been done professionally, with high quality and attention to detail.
I am about to put my house on the market and had a home inspection done recently in preparation for listing. The inspector made a point to tell me how well the shower was done, as he finds most done poorly that have leaking and sloping issues after a few years
