I called to see if they would provide an analysis of the problem with my tree not leafing out this spring. On their web page they offer free estimates but I didn't know if that was only on tree removal. They called back in about two hours, asked some specific questions, then told me that the tree buds had been hit by a late freeze this spring.

I had JC Tree care come out to do some tree trimming for some trees on my property.
I had used them in the past and was very happy with their work.
On this occasion 2 men came to do the quoted work. They worked through the morning hours and took a break for lunch under one of the trees.
After lunch both men got into one truck and one began smoking pot.
I called the man who had issued the quote, I believe he is the owner, and informed him of what his employee was doing and that I wanted this employee to discontinue working that day at my property, as he was the one who was the "climber

I chose JC Tree Care not only because they offered the least expensive of four tree-care companies who gave me an estimate (they did), but also because Carlos's descriptions of what he'd do seemed honest to me, and frankly I trusted his expertise. I was not in the least disappointed. The crew came out this morning, right on time, and were courteous and asked all the right questions. They finished up in a half day, as they said they would. The end product: I'm very happy with their work. I recommend this company highly.

I had several trees in sorry need of attention, including one enormous Himalayan cedar (Cedrus deodara, aka "California Christmas tree") that was out of control. The price was fair, the lowest of the four tree services I got quotes from, but that's not why I chose them. Carlos's expertise was evident. I trusted him. And that trust, it turns out, was warranted. I told him what I wanted, he told me exactly what he'd do, and that's exactly what the crew did--and did very well. The crew came this morning on time. Had a very large Chinese elm that kept growing and growing and hitting the power lines. Called JC and asked for a quote. They were too busy to do it the same week which was ok, but I was surprised when they had an opening for the next day. The crew members were pleasant and professional. I requested an estimate for which they responded quickly and friendly, on that same day. They gave me a fair price for the type of work that was going to be done, the work was finished in that same week in a clean and efficient way, I would like to thank the employees for not making any decision without first consulting me and especially the information that they gave me about the type of tree they were going to work on, now my tree is healthy, and my house looks better than ever. Excellent service and staff. Meticulous work on my entire yard by a hard working, polite, caring staff. Fair price for the amount and type of work. Removed large tree, removed unwanted and over grown shrubs, spent a week cleaning up and clearing out dead sage (a fire hazard). Chipping and hauling yard debris was included in the price which was very reasonable.

Fantastic! They did take a week or so to come out but worth the wait. Very professional and nice. They were very fast and efficient. When they were done, they cleaned up everything to perfection. They came by quickly after calling for an estimate, but we had to wait two weeks before they could come by for the service. Trimmed and cut dead branches from two elms in front of our house. They were very nice and professional. Didn't make a mess, and left the branches for us in our front yard after asking if we wanted to keep the wood. About as much as we expected to pay. Our trees look great now!
