Services
The first stage involves our initial meeting to discuss your needs, ideas, styles, budget and timeline. From there I will follow up with a proposal for my services including scope of project and schedule. After the contract is signed I will start working away on developing concepts. This stage will include some or all of the below activities; Initial Space Planning, Color Schemes, Concept Images, Material Selections, and Mood Boards.

We called on Jenny to help us remotely on a space planning project in NC for our new home. She pays great attention to detail and offered recommendations for flow and accents that were both practical and true to our style. Jenny is an excellent communicator. She helped me through a couple larger ticket furniture purchases that I kept reevaluating and putting off. Her advice was spot on and we love the results! Jenny knows the right questions to ask, is current with an appreciation for timeless touches, and has a great deal of knowledge and creativity.

We have worked with Jenny and LDC on two very different projects in our home. We consider both a great success and highly recommend her and her work.
Our first project was to have her design a home office for two + space for school aged kids. She listened to our needs/wants and came up with several designs. We selected the one that worked best for our needs and completed the build out ourselves. She sourced the material (cabinets, countertops) and made excellent recommendations about where to stretch the budget and where to conserve it.

Layered Design enabled us to realize our dream kitchen; with Jennifer's professional help we went from idea to reality. The process was relax, fluid, and clear. The kitchen came together in paper, in the sample tiles, counter, and cabinets. We truly enjoyed the process and we hope to continue using Layered Design for our next project expansion.

Jenny both helped us to update parts of our home at our request (balusters, fireplace) and also made those updates better than we could have ever imagined! Jenny was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She setup clear rules of engagements and professional contracts that ensured both of us were protected from any potential over-billing/underpayment.
She worked closely with us to come up with multiple designs and ideas, and was able to leverage her network of construction teams to get our work done in a timely manner.
Overall we are incredibly satisfied with how our house looks after Jenny helped us improve it, and we're planning to work with her again for a condo refurb nearby!

My experience with Jenny is that she is informative, helpful, prompt, and great at what she does. I hired Jenny for a small bathroom remodel design.
She was extremely fair/reasonable throughout the whole process, is incredibly resourceful at sourcing materials & recommending contractors, and was a great guide through the whole design process (this was my first time doing something like this).
The design she came up with is unique and matches my personal sense of style.
I would highly recommend Jenny and LDC to any of my friends and family members!

Jenny has been amazing to work with. We knew we wanted to do a renovation of our upstairs, but didn’t know where to begin in terms of design, purchasing, getting a contractor, etc. Jenny was able to help us with everything. She listened to our ideas, and then provided a great design, helped us pick out and purchase the finishes, found us a contractor and then worked as a project manager with the contractor. Having someone who really knows what they are doing makes all the difference. We love our new space and can’t wait to work on our next project with her!
