I am very surprised reading through the reviews below.
A-Tree seemed professional and polite.
I received a call from Cleve the morning of. I was happy to hear they were able to stop by earlier than expected!
When the tree removal specialists arrived, they were very kind to move items in my yard so that they were protected from falling tree debris.
My large, diseased ash tree was fully disassembled within an hour.
I was very impressed to watch them remove this large tree, carefully and concisely. It was up an embankment, near my house and property

The city assigned A Tree Service to remove two diseased trees we had to have removed. After trying several times to contact them in the months after finding out they were our assigned company, one day I heard chainsaws outside my house and discovered they had showed up with no warning and begun cutting. After about an hour, they left without clearing anything up, with several large branches blocking my driveway and the neighbor's. They worked quickly and were polite. My fence was directly under the tree and is still standing! 2 pickets were broken and they will be back to repair them. I had a great experience with them. The city contracted them for my diseased Ash and I am happy with the decision.

We had a 2 tree's taken out a few years back one from the front yard one back yard, It was over $7000 to remove them and Stump Grind and leave the waste as we would take care of it. We used the waste around our yard and took a while to get it used. But when we got down to the bottom The Stump was still there and its Huge and about 2 FT above ground and 5 x 4 around. I thought this should have been taken care of the first time! So I called to see to have it Done. They wanted to charge me to come take care of it. We paid $7000 in cash which is a lot of Money to have it done Right the first time and

My neighbor across the street had a stump ground. Later a crew came to clean up the wood chips and debris, when it got down to less than the crane claw could grab they used a shovel to gather the rest of it.
I happened to be in my front room and watched them walk across the street and throw the shovelful into my yard. There were one foot long chunks of roots that would have messed up a lawn mower in a hurry. I walked to remove the pieces from my yard, and the crew didn't apologize or or acknowledge me. They avoided eye contact and left very soon after that.

I've never worked with A Tree Services and never will. One of their employees yelled out his work van at my two-year-old because he was slow crossing in front of the van at a stop sign. That lack of decency on a residential road in the Longfellow neighborhood tells me I wouldn't want this company working on my property.

Our tree was contracted by the city to A Tree to cut down. I have to say they did a good job removing and cleaning up the area at an affordable price. The customer service and communication however needs a lot of improvement. The letter from city of MPLS said to call and schedule a time if we need to remove cars, fences, etc for A Tree to come remove. The city gave us a deadline of only a few weeks to remove the tree from the property. I called A Tree to make a schedule or at least get an estimated date of when they will be coming because I have cars that I need to move and no one got back to me

I didn't hire A Tree Service, but my neighbors did, and I can say that if you would like to hire an honest company or care about your neighbors, I would not recommend hiring A Tree Service.
My experience was as follows- I received a text from another neighbor during the middle of my working day with a picture of their boom truck on the front lawn of our house. There was no attempt to get a hold of us and ask permission- no phone call, no knock on the front door in the morning, etc. They were already gone by the time I got home, but there were large depressions in the lawn and large dead spots

Cleve, the owner, was very supportive during my month of deciding whether to remove my 100 year old elm tree or not. It was a very difficult decision for me. Once I made the decision, he responded the very next day with his crew ready to remove my tree. He and his crew were very hand working and got the job done in one day. A tree service was absolutely phenomenal to work with! We had a tree with Dutch Elm that needed to be removed. Their pricing was by far the most reasonable after getting quotes from 20+ companies. They let us know the work would be done within the week, and it was done within HOURS! Yard looked amazing, no issues at all. Highly recommend them and will be calling them for all future services!

I just bought my home and had a difficult time trying to trim the tree in my backyard, I called them and spoke to Greg who gave me a great deal and was able to come when I requested. They are my go to for tree service and for xmas trees. Please don't waste your time with anyone else. Do yourself a favor and call them, you won't regret it.

I called this tree service for an emergency consult as there were some very large branches on a tree on my property that broke and were threatening to harm my neighbors property. The estimator came in a timely manner and gave me what I thought was a very good quote. I decided to accept the offer and the estimator said the crew would arrive the following morning between 9 and 10 to start the work. CUT DOWN THE WRONG TREE! I hired Cleve from A Tree Service to cut down two mulberry trees in my yard and do other tree cutting at two other properties I own. I came home to discover that he had messed up and despite him having written down "2 Mulberries" and me emailing him the exact trees I wanted cut down, he cut down 1 mulberry and a beautiful 10" diameter, 30 ft high ash tree.

A Tree Service has trimmed several of my trees for my rental property over the years and they are fabulous to work with! They are friendly to work with and never have to worry about a thing. My trees come back bigger and healthier each year. I have them come out and trim out the dead braches out of my Maple and had them plant two planter trees in my front yard that are thriving! My yard always looks better after they have left than before. I have never had one complaint!

Our non-profit organization contracted with A Tree Service Inc. to prune a very large cottonwood tree at one of our urban farming sites. The price quoted was very reasonable and I met with Cleve to discuss exactly what would be include in that price. I asked about the removal of smaller branches from the crown of the tree and was told that they would be removed along with some of the larger lower branches. This was not done. When I asked for the job to be completed as per our conversation, I was told that was never part of the agreement

I dont believe the address is correct on this listing however the phone number is correct. I received quite possibly the worst customer service from this business. I would not recommend using them, the owner is extremely rude, does not keep details straight and completely unreasonable. They came and did work without my consent after I requested a quote (at no time did I speak to them after receiving the quote and came home to the work being done with out my permission).
