Lane DeChristopher started Distinct Renovations, LLC to provide the remodeling industry and, most importantly, the homeowner with his commitment to excellence. Having grown up in the Richmond area, Lane has a strong desire to serve the local Richmond communities with the best windows, siding, doors, and customer service that they can trust and rely on for many years to come.
This historic Grove Avenue home in Richmond, Virginia was in need of an upgrade. The windows, upon inspection, were a leading cause in this client's high home energy bill. Our challenge was to find a product that not only fit the style of the home, but was energy efficient and cost effective. This was a window installation project in the Brandermill subdivision.
Energy efficient windows can substantially reduce the costs associated with your heating and cooling bills. High-performance windows not only provide reduced annual heating and cooling bills, they also reduce the peak heating and cooling loads. Cold glass can create uncomfortable drafts as air next to the window is cooled and drops to the floor.

I could not be happier with Lane and his crew. Distinct Renovations resided the entire house. Lane started off by suggesting products he knew would be approved by my HOA and that fit my budget. When unexpected rot or other circumstances were uncovered, Lane explained the situation and his crew fixed the issues expertly. They were on the job every day until it was done, were always courteous, and cleaned up well when the job was done. I have gotten lots of positive comments about how the house looks. I’d like to preface this review on the premise that I have never written a company review, however, the customer service and quality of work provided by Distinct Renovations LLC warranted such. I had a full home 25+ window and sliding glass door installation completed in May 2021 (apologies for the way past due review). The owner, Lane, and his company provided the quickest turn around with quality, energy rated windows at a price far below any competitor we had come to our home. Distinct Renovations did an amazing job transforming my house into something totally different. In the beginning of the project I wasn’t sure what we all wanted to do with the siding and windows, however Lane was very patient in the process and gave me all the different scenarios and costs associated with them. Once we went with him on the contract, he was very prompt on having his guys confirm window measurements as well as update me on material delivery timelines and when the project would start. Lane and his team did an exceptional job on our home. We had the full treatment; siding, windows, and doors. He and his team were very thorough from the beginning to the end. He communicated with us throughout the entire process. All three of his crews were friendly, on time, and hardworking. Upon completion the job site was cleaned up and their attention to detail is very much appreciated. We love the look of our home and would highly recommend Distinct Renovations.
